This room used by performers over the years has been signed by many of them during their stay.  Now, according to one of the local radio stations, a band has taken it on themselves and repainted this room, possibly destroying decades worth of signatures.   Anyone else hear anything about this or have anymore information?  A general web search isn't bringing anything up on it.

If so, a PR nightware awaits if it's a larger name band.  I would think a larger named band though would respect the tradition that is playing the Cain's.  I have three good friends who have played it.  It's the highlight of their musical careers.

"For anyone who loves the historic Cain's Ballroom, the rock group TWIZTID trashed their green room! Spray-painted over HUNDREDS of signatures."

Tragic loss for the Cain's.

I hope the Rogers sue the love out of these turds.  I tried to find a contact link on their web site to send them a choice email but had no luck. I don't do myspace either.

They played there on March 9th, but a friend was of the opinion this happened in October?

from what I hear they are trying to restore the names, but not a lot of hope there.  They are also supposed to be suing the band.  I'm thinking a notice to all of the bands upcoming events would be in order.

It was Axe Murder Boys at the ICP show back in October, not TWIZTID, according to the Cain's Facebook page.

Something tells me that they wouldn't care anyhow.  Their myspace page has the following on it

Quote
Twiztid have officially hit the road and are cutting a path across the nation leaving a wake of destruction and mayhem behind them

Seems they are proud of doing crap like this.  Anyone want to load up the baseball gear and go for a roadtrip?

It was not the signature wall. The band spray painted a different wall and have already paid money in damages.
