I could hear him addressing the country on the evening of Sept. 11, 2001 if he'd been POTUS:

"To those of you who lost loved ones today, I'm sorry.  Do you have any idea how many polar bears drownededed, er died today because their iceberg sank?  You do realize of course, this terrorist attack was the result of our dependence on foreign oil and our massive carbon footprint.  We will avoid all future attacks by purchasing carbon credits and crippling industry with massive new taxes on large polluters.  I would go after those actually responsible for these attacks, but that would be environmentally unsound and will result in more global warming.  So you war mongerererers, 'Suck it!'
