We mentioned the update on another thread a couple of weeks ago.  I still like that it is a lot clearer this time around. I can actually tell which is the trampoline and which is the pool in the back yard.

SXSW

I like that they took the pictures when everything was green and there is water in the river.   :)

My house came out real good & clear on the street level google, but that picture was taken before I bought it. This new satellite picture seems to show my truck in the driveway of my house, At least  it looks like my  truck- Kewl! Google Rockz :D

I have a funny knack of being on Google.

Example 1: I NEVER took my Firehawk out (Hence my username).  Well New Years Day 2009 I go over to a friend's parents.  Decided what the hay and took the Firehawk.  Sure enough, there my car is on google street view:

Example 2: I don't go over to my dad's house that often.  Usually only on a Saturday.  Sure enough, there is my car in my dad's driveway in the updated Maps.

You actually put a friends address on a public forum with pictures of the house and your prized car?

The overlay for my 'hood apparently was this last winter, no leaves on the trees and I can see the patio I had poured last summer very clearly.  I can't make out the new garden shed I put up, so I guess I did a good job camouflaging that from "The Man".

Actually, if it was consistent with all photos within that grid, it should have been late March.  I know my photos are..there's a specific timeline for an old aerial antenna I brought down from the top of my house and was laying in my backyard that can be seen plain as day in the new photography.  So I know for a fact it was done around the end of March, and the date that Google Earth has down is March 29th, which is accurate.  Not sure if you have any dates you can use for identification.  I do know that the area around 31st to 36th on Yale accurately depicts the construction nightmare that is going on over there...

I found the car we took to the school in the parking lot that we only parked in once, which we figured out the days and that would have been the day we parked there.  So yeah, I will say it's accurate lol.

Quite possible, I'm trying to remember when the trees budded out, mine still look winter bare, so it's possilble the leaves were just popping out.

Yes, that was one of two spurs that went north of the tracks from the BA. The one you are refering to went into the fair grounds and was abandoned when they built the IPE/QT Expo. The other one was a short one just befor Yale that went to a lumber yard where what was KVOO's building is. I can remember as a kid my parents having to stop at that particular crossing.

If you look at the westbound off ramp to Harvard you can see a small portion of the old railbed and the patch on the off ramp for the tracks.
