With ya.  They've already announced the release of the new version for next year.

Where do you think some employee will accidentally leave his/her iPhone 4.1 about 2-3 months out this time?

I have a otter box also. I love it. Accept for...........that darn holster clip. It falls out with the slightest walking. And if you put the phone in backwards, I sware you could blow it out.
Thanks for the info about them changing the design of the clip. I shall contact them also.

It's amazing.  You'd think a company would unit test its products before releasing to the market.

I totally forgot about the clip.  Yep, that was major FAIL.  I don't use a belt clip anyhow, it's a good way for me to lose a phone.

I do, but I never put it on my belt.  It usually reside on my left front pocket.

The iPhone is a bit too big for me to accessorize it like that    I used to keep my Samsung Sync on there but it was pretty tiny.  Sync was an apt name for it.  It sank right to the bottom of my pool

The otter box has destroyed more iPhones because of that darn clip, than it has helped protect.

My brother has an otter box defender (I just purchased one as well and am awaiting the shipping on it) that he wasn't real impressed with.  It protects the phone, but he complained of it falling out of the clip on a regular basis.  He emailed them; they evidently had enough complaints on this that they redesigned the clip and sent him a brand new case with clip.  That's how you keep in business, by keeping current customers happy.

Got mine on Amazon for 20 dollars!

The more I think about it, I probably should get this even though I'll never put it in the clip.  Can't hurt to have a fresh case.

Oh, and I figured out the problem and I'm doing my OS 4 update now.  It's taken thus far about 1 1/2 hours.

We'll see when I get my new one.  I have a backup plan in place (this cheapy generic case logic case I'm currently using).

I deleted some apps I don't use.  Now I'm trying to figure out how to re-arrange the app icons and consolidate some onto the same pane.  I've been to a screen before in iTunes where I was able to view the arrangement of my apps as they appear on the phone but can't seem to get there now

rearranging the apps is as simple as clicking on one of them and holding down until the app icons shake.  When they do, grab the one you want to move and drag it to wherever, even a different screen.  Takes a little practice.

And in iTunes to see that screen, I believe it's somewhere in the sync section.  Don't have it handy though, so can't be sure right now.

I found it and got it all cleaned up to my liking.  I've not had luck dragging it to a different screen though, not quick enough I suppose.

Just hold it against the edge of the screen and it'll go.

So do any of you have the 4 yet? Have you noticed problems with reception or overheating? Just curious, as I've seen some reports make the rounds, and people will be asking me very shortly whether they should be upgrading. (I don't know anybody crazy enough to stand in line for one, but that doesn't mean they won't consider picking one up in the next few days!)

Wait for Grizzle, I'm sure he'll have it soon (if not already).  You may have to wait a while though.
