Border Security, Credit Due

I have to give President Obama credit where credit is due.  Today he will sign a border Security Bill providing the funding that Border Patrol has been asking for (for over a year).  I am upset that he waited until there was a cadre of lawsuits, civilian murders, and general unrest, and vote of "no confidence" by the Sherrif's groups, but he is now willing to do something, and the bill looks clean.

It seems that with the application of enough pressure from the public, we can actually encourage positive action from Congress and the White House.

Funny thing is that the lib media is making this a page 3 or 4 story as not to offend anyone sensitive to border security action.

"congrats, nice job.  Finally.  Jeez, you sucked until now though.  Look at what you did, got so many people killed.  But at least now that we've all bitched and complained enough...you finally did something.  Nice job."

Credit given.  Out.

Conditional compliments are still compliments, guys.  Hey, it's better than the Bush haters who could never say a nice thing about his accomplishments.

Oh, wait, I forgot.  What were those accomplishments?

I'm not near as upset it's taken him a year and lawsuits to make this happen as every President for the last half centry has left this as a pass-through problem to the next President.

He did clear a lot of brush.

Proving conan's point.

What?  That Bush was a horrible President for at least 7 of his 8 years in office?

Aw, c'mon, Hoss.  Up through September 10th, 2001 he struggled all the way up to average, just as any other student with "gentleman's C's".  Like Ford Prefect's description of Earth in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", he was mostly harmless.  It was just after September 10th when he started that long, downhill run.

May you live in interesting times.
