Anyone been to an event there?

The reviews on the interwebs have been less than favorable.

I have been to a couple of events and enjoyed them both.  A very casual setting,  but you do have to get through the smokey casino to get to the showroom.  Have they built a new showroom?
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

I have been to Friday Night Fights there. And was not impressed with the size at all. It came off more like a cramped gymnasium than a showroom. I recorded the event and watched it and the camera angles made it look huge. I couldnt believe it was the same event until I saw myself ringside. To me it seemed the room was more long than it was wide. And yes the entrances back up to the smokers part of the casino.
Not really sure if they have renovated or not.

I don't support the casinos, too smoky and they are a drain on the local sales tax base.

I have been to a couple shows there.  One show my friend won free tickets and the other show was like $20.  Now it is more expensive for shows there.  When I went there the parking was very bad.  The bands played on a stage about 1 foot taller than the floor and I was able to stand about 10 feet in front of the stage.  There were maybe over a thousand people or more there.  You do have to walk through the casino to get there and I would think the tickets would be cheaper since the goal is to get people in to gamble and drink.

I went and saw Rodney there.  Crappy big square room with folding chairs.  Bad acoustics.  Nasty smoky, and makes me a little sick to think about.
