"They Live. Where to begin? Yes, it is goofy. Yes the production value is very low. Yes the action is standard. The guns never empty. The fights are poorly choreographed at times. But that, my friends, is not the point.

This film was an attack on the Regan era. An attack on the rampant consumerism of the 80's. But open your mind. Saying that it's just an attack on the 80's is merely shutting your eyes. Telling yourself that things have gotten better. Sorry to disapoint you, but they haven't.

Rowdy Roddy Piper puts on some sunglasses. The world changes. Billboards now say Obey or Sleep. Or Marry and Reproduce. Magazines no longer have articles or advertisements. They are blank white pages with said phrases upon them. Money now are white pieces of paper that say This is Your God. Boy oh boy are they right.

So watch They Live. Grab some beer and score some corn. Enjoy the cheese. Enjoy the great one-liners. But also pay attention to the lines that sum up the truth. Remember the point of the film. Then go outside. Re-enter the corporate world outside your door.

Every time I watch that movie I can't help but remember the South Park episode they essentially duplicated the big fight scene between Piper and Keith David.  Said to be the longest fight scene in any movie ever.

3,4,5, and 6 were largely destroyed by falling debris. I specifically recall an account of a few folks barely making it out of the Marriott alive due to that. Not that that has anything at all to do with WTC7, which is, as you are well aware, are completely separate buildings from the one we are discussing.

The very NIST report you cite in an attempt to state categorically that the (clearly existent on news footage) fire had nothing to do with with the collapse talks about the cantilever. Look at Appendix L, which has a diagram of both the substation relative to the footprint of WTC7 and diagrams of the transfer trusses that allowed the building to extend out over the substation above the level of the substation.

This should be disturbing to any person who cares about freedom.  Many so called "conspiracy theories" often prove to be true.  Even suggesting this is an outright attack on our first amendment rights and a throwback to COINTELPRO.

It was the fact that WTC7 was cantilevered over an electrical substation combined with a raging fire in the equipment room weakening the trusses supporting the cantilever.

Oh jesus, the report states that they can't be entirely sure, but that the failure in the column caused a failure either in surrounding columns or in the transfer trusses (which are what hold the load of the cantilever). They also state that a contributing cause was likely fire induced expansion and contraction of the various steel components of the building. Your reading is very selective.
