I thought we should all try out this new lunch place near downtown. It is on Boston between Archer and Brady just south of the Majestic. The food is Italian.

I plan to get there around 11:30. We need an approximate head count so if you can make it, post here. If you don't know, just show up and look for all of us. We will be the ones with mouthfuls of pasta and pizza.

The owner posts on this forum and might be able to get us a look at the menu or make some recommendations...

Who can make it this Thursday?

I went by today and ordered lunch to go and pick up a menu.

The place is very nice with modern furnishings, a great glass wall window to the east, and a well-stocked wine bar in front of a big oven. It was nice to watch them cook my lunch, but I kept getting distracted by people-watching in the Brady district.

I ordered the Lunch Calzone for $8. Scott the owner talked me into getting it Canadian bacon to be traditional and I am glad he did. It was excellent. It was pretty good sized and made with ricotta and mozzerella with a hint of pesto. It also came with a side of Pomodora sauce. The sauce was thick and perfect for dipping small slices of my calzone.

The lunch menu has meatball grinders for $8, stromboli for $7, baked ziti for $8, Cyros for $7.50 and a slice of pizza with a cup of soup for $6.50. They also had a number of vegetarian dishes including a grilled veggie platter for $7.

I want to try the Toscana Sandwich next time. It is home-made Luganona Italian sausage with roasted bell peppers, onions and night-dried tomatoes on Ciabatta bread for $7.50.

This is a very nice place. It is the kind of place I will take my wife when we want a nice dress-up place for a pre-show dinner.

Dang.  I have a lunch appointment I can't change.  I'm in for next time, though.

This place is getting great reviews...I have half a dozen facebook friends who are raving about the pizza and other dishes.

Sorry I must send my regrets.

Thursday's are the day I deliver checks to my employees and I'm out in the Owasso area around lunch time while making my rounds.

I had originally planned to be back in Tulsa this week and was looking forward to maybe meeting some of you, but a co-worker had to take emergency leave and in our department there are only two people that know the phone, voicemail and a good portion of our 911 dispatch system that I have had to postpone my vacation because the town I work for cannot be without coverage for these areas. I will let you folks know when I plan to reschedule my trip because I look forward to a chance to meet some of my TNF fellow members.

You mean you couldn't just put the 911 line on call-forwarding?  They can't expect someone to be by the phone 24/7...sheesh!

I did not find the minimalization of the 911 system and suggestion of putting the system on call forwarding or voicemail.  Don't give Dewey any ideas people.

So far looks like RM and I.  I need someone to distract him while I steal things off his plate.
