These guys are probably in a union, so no action will be taken.

So . . . We should have let Chrysler fail because these 15 guys like to drink on their lunch breaks?

I just want to make sure I understand the point of what you posted.

Do you want to drive a car that had the throttle cable connected by a guy who just smoked some amazing sensimilla?

Not particularly.  But a management problem on the 7 to 4 shift doesn't translate into a reason for us not to have bailed out a sector of the economy, or a blanket reason for unions not to exist.

Which, I gather, was Guido's point of posting this.

Also:  I'm more concerned about the guys chugging their Bud 40's rather than smoking a doobie out in the parking lot.  The mary jane actually focuses your brain for minute tasks.  Not so much the booze.

I am on record opposing the auto bailout, as well as any other bailout such as with teachers. That is no secret. I am really not interested in rehashing that debate. The point of posting the vid is to demonstrate just how grateful some of the beneficiaries of our tax money really are and how conscientious they are about the safety of those buying their pathetic product.

It's disingenuous to call government paying for government services a "bailout." I'm with you on the use of the term regarding the auto companies, although I disagree that it was a bad idea, especially in the case of GM, where we're providing DIP financing, rather than just throwing money at them for worthless assets like we did the banks. (and even there, I think we made the best of the bankers holding guns to our heads)
