The money that one makes via a job/career is a "gift"?.. If thats the case then all tax cuts, middle, low, upper income are all gifts given to you by your government? I am horrified to see that term used when it comes to taxes. Gift, really?

We know you jest, but there are those who really do believe this.  As I said, this comes from the popular misconception that "Rights" are granted by governments.  It follows that rewards are granted too.

Unfortunately, to believe this way requires years of programming, and even longer to rehabilitate.
