We had a good time. We parked in the PAC lot and could see the parade as it turned off Second onto Detroit. The wind was fierce in the middle of the intersection, but where we stood on Detroit, there was a windbreak.

The parade got to where we stood in about 10 minutes and lasted until 7:15. My wife wouldn't let me hold my "Inhofe Free Zone" posters and instead made me buy cotton candy for the kids. I was sad that the Booker T. marching band was missing and there weren't some of the regular attractions like the hot air balloon burners and the Reasor's shopping cart.

The PSO inflatable caused a five minute delay and the inflatable snowman made a delay of a couple of minutes. The only inflatable team that seemed to have their act together was the humongous Urban Tulsa inflatable dog.

I only saw three of the City Councilors (Barnes, Henderson and Trail) and really no other politicians. I did see former Mayor Taylor on a nice float for her daughter's cupcake company. There were plenty of beauty queens and bicycle/dog/dancing teams. The lamest float was TTCU who played their company jingle super loud more than they did Christmas tunes.

Most of the parade attendees and spectators yelled Merry Christmas to each other.

this has to be one of the more poorly attended years i've seen.  blame it on the cold. blame it on inhofe, blame it on whatever, but you could not deny that the crowds were lower this year....and I had the priviledge(?) of seeing the entire route.  It looked more populated on channel 8 than it did in person.  also, because of the delays I saw people leaving 20 mins into the parade.

We were on the southwest corner of 2nd and Detroit. We had about 50 people on our sidewalk and could see down the street of the block that has the Blue Dome Diner and Woody's. There was about 300-400 people on that sidewalk in one block.

I agree on the crowd size. It was the smallest crowds I remember.

Let's hope for less controversy and warmer temperatures for next year.

We all went to the Bixby Parade, they had 40+ floats, lots of free hot Dr. Pepper from Doc's Country Mart(the local grocery store) and lots of hometown spirit with carolers singing up and down the sidewalks..all while you sat in front of lots of mom and pop business's handing out free hot chocolate on the curb of the two lane main street.

Channel 6(Travis Myer), Khits(blasting rap music unfortunately) & BOB FM being the media sponsors..

Did we miss being at the Tulsa Parade..nope...
