The Viet Nam memorial traveling wall is being booked for a visit to Tulsa next September (approx).  Be sure to mark your calendars, since it has been a while since it was nearby.  This is being sponsored by the Union schools JROTC program and they would certainly appreciate your support, if you can see your way to help.

T-shirts are being sold currently.  (ROTC related - not wall logos.)

They also appreciate cash donations.  And a corporate sponsor or two...or three...would be nice.  Great opportunity for people to step up and put their money where their mouth is regarding patriotism and support of the military, etc, etc, etc....  (I already have my obligatory half dozen shirts, plus extra cash...)

The wall in Washington currently resides on my bucket list (vacation 2012 is the plan).  Have seen the traveling wall three times and very much looking forward to seeing the real thing.  Regardless of whether you have friends or family on that wall, if it does not touch your heart deeply, then you have no heart!

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

When you go, on the path between the wall and Lincoln there is a statue of soldiers looking at the wall from a bit of a differance.  There should be a park ranger there telling of the history of the wall.  Very worth the time to stay and listen.

Thanks!  Good to know.

The traveling wall is tough enough to visit, so have been slow at going to see the real deal.  Need to make the time.

Took my kids to DC a couple of summers ago, and it was well worth it.  Contact your congressman a few months before you go  and they can get you some special tours set up as well.  I think that is the only way you can get into the whitehouse.
