Holy crap! If I ever have a U.S. Marshal point a gun at me and I return to his apartment for a better look at said gun, get me to detox immediately.

Glasgow, 29, of Edmond, was arrested on complaints of burglary and assault and battery after the Saturday incident in the 300 block of NE 2, according to a police report released Wednesday. He was later released on bail from the Oklahoma County jail. He had not been charged Wednesday.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Sean Xuereb, 39, was asleep in his apartment about 12:35 a.m. when he awoke to a knock at his door, a city police officer wrote in the report. Xuereb said he recognized Glasgow as a "friend of a friend" who lived one floor below him.

When Xuereb opened the door, Glasgow pushed his way into the apartment and started hitting him, according to the report. Xuereb picked up his service pistol, which was on a counter next to him, and told Glasgow to leave the apartment. The report states Glasgow told Xuereb to shoot him, but began to walk out of the apartment.

As Xuereb tried to close the door, Glasgow barged in again and the two began to fight, an officer wrote. Xuereb said he fought him off, pushed him out, went back inside his apartment and locked the door. A police officer said he arrived to find Glasgow still trying to get in and arrested him.

Xuereb did not have serious injuries, but had marks and scratches on his shoulders and face and was bleeding from a finger, according to the report. Glasgow had bloody knuckles and injuries to his forehead, but also was not seriously hurt.

Police suspected Glasgow was drunk, and he was taken to a hospital after he lost consciousness during the booking process at the jail, an officer wrote. After being medically cleared at the hospital, Glasgow told police he didn't remember anything until he realized he was handcuffed in a patrol car. Officers later took him back to jail.

Police said Glasgow "seemed shocked" when officers told him he was on the third floor of the apartment building instead of the second floor where his girlfriend lived, and that he did not remember having a gun pointed at him.

Damn, that El Cucuy and it's 8.6% ABV...

That was an early Marshall reference to the thread....  ;D

I got the last four bottles at RA last night.  Eric told me the other day more Jamoke is being brewed but the cukoo is done.

C, have you tried Midtown up by Target?  I don't mind going to Ranch Acres so much, but I'd like a shorter drive.  Do they carry as much as RA does?

They do, they seem to hide it well though.  I think they might have a bigger selection of beers overall.  Columbia Liquors at 15th & Columbia next to Pie Hole is good about keeping Marshall's.

FYI, for certain all the staple Marshall products (Sundown, Atlas, McNellies, & Old Pavillion) are strictly 12 oz products now, which is fine.  The economics are better that way for the consumer.  The specials will continue to be done in bombers.  He wouldn't really tip his hand at the next one-off just that it will be a red ale type.

I hadn't thought of the ABV on the El Cucuy, no wonder that goes to my head quick.  FMC and I are heading to Wolf Creek this spring and will spend one evening at my new favorite microbrewery in Pagosa.  They've got a trappist style beer they serve in a brandy snifter that rocked my world.  Damn that was good stuff.   I'll see if I can narrow down a good growler of beer you would like.

Yeah, my last trip up the girl at RA told me that.  Had something to do with a bad batch of bottles for the bombers, and since it coincided with him getting the last of his core beers on the 12 oz bottles, he just decided to axe doing them in bombers.  Fine by me, and I'm sure hand-dipping those bottles in the wax was time consuming.  Better to save that for the specials/seasonals.  Looking forward to his next in the Loco Gringo series.

Red Arrow

There is (was Friday) still some El Cucuy at 101st & Memorial.
