Shouldn't they, I don't know, wait until something actually happens before assigning it a place in history?

That's not "right thinking" for our little community of "escalator to nowhere" thinkers.

We scream and scream while running around in circles.

The track bar at Fair Meadows has decided to close and change my festive plans for Wednesday.

You're right, I need to get with the program and join the hysteria.  We're doomed, we're all doomed!!!

For what it's worth, I heard OSU (Stillwater and Tulsa) and the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District (Tulsa) already announced they are closed tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has announced that the sky WILL be falling at about 6pm.

It's that dihydrous oxide again isn't it?

ZYX

I heard we will get 12-18 inches. DEATH IS OFFICIAL!

NO. We must jump to conclusions first.

Better get a Carbon Monoxide detector too.
I have one, but as drafty as my house is, it's not much of a concern.

Edited to add: I'm glad that I went to the grocery store last night. I happened to drive by Reasor's on the way home and it looked like utter madness. Also, there were about 20 cars in line at the Walgreens' drive thru, which isn't terribly nice given that she-who-must-be-obeyed needs a refill and I forgot to pick it up this morning.

I can always drive the 20 year old car over there later if need be. It should have enough ground clearance until sometime tomorrow.. ;)

Oh, and NWS' webpage has been screwed up since this morning...not surprised about the blizzard warning, we were just under blizzard criteria with the previous wind forecast.

Dunno about food stamps, but based on when I get my rent check every month, SS checks arrive on the 1st or 2nd.

Do you really go to the track? I have been thinking about having a TulsaNow meetup there...
Power is nothing till you use it.

It's an absolute mad house at both 111th & 101st & Memorial. People and their cars everywhere.

and this is why I don't mind driving in the snow and ice.  Wait till everyone else gets stuck in their homes and then I'll go to the store.  Only problem I have is apparantly there is a good chance I won't be allowed to go to work tomorrow. Or at least I won't get paid for it if I do.

+1. Either stock up early or wait until the weather begins to deteriorate.
