I did read recently that McDonalds has lost count of the billions and billions.  And just as they were starting on cow number 42!  What a shame!

I seem to remember seeing a local hamburger place with "at least 1 dozen sold" painted on the side of their building the other day. (looked like it had been there forever, but I didn't notice it until then)

Ty's Hamburgers on Harvard? If it is, it's been there since at least '86 or '87. They had a place on 71st just east of Sheridan in the old McCartney's complex.

Chipotle bbq beef ain't too bad.  May do that again sometime.  Will have to have an intervening Lot-A-Burger first, though.  Favorite McD is the cheeseburger happy meal.  Get all the bad side effects PLUS a toy!!


Ty's still there?  Haven't been by in a long time.  The original people sold out long ago, and it just wasn't quite the same.  Still good, but not quite.

Used to be a little Chinese place on 41st and Mingo called Sampan.  Had the most incredible little hot wings ever created!  They are gone, too.  Sad.

Ichi-ban on 41st and Memorial still there and excellent, if limited menu.  Yum.

I've been boycotting McDonalds.  It's been almost two years since I have bought anything from there.

it started when they gave me the wrong thing at the drive through, and when I went back in to get my money back (was too pissed to just have it replaced) they took the sandwich out of the bag I brought in and put it in the holding bin to serve to someone else.
