Waterboy, exit stage left

I am the poster previously known as Waterboy. After 6 years of posting I impulsively deleted my posting status last night. No drama. No anger at remarks or lack thereof. Just time for me. I'll delete this one this evening. Meant to type in Aqua but the old dyslexia flared up. Seriously, by 8pm I can't type anything without transposing.

Not that I have such a high regard for myself as to think people wanted exit remarks from me, but I just wanted to note how much fun I've had discussing, jousting, poking, arguing, pontificating, getting educated, getting riled up, getting whipped, getting enlightened and generally just being one of the old farts around here. Doubt anyone noticed, but my politics have been changed a lot from the insights gained here and I never felt my writing was as good as when Conan or the two G's challenged me. IPLAW just destroyed me. Of course they're all usually wrong but they are passionate and I can identify. My old tag line "Passionate, in an irritating way" was a remark made to me during a job interview a few years back. Funniest thing I ever heard. I took it to heart that other people may view me drastically different than I do myself.

My life is plenty stressful right now and I don't need more of it. Believe me now and know it later, aging ain't a wussy occupation. Make as much money legally before 45 as you possibly can cause after that its hit or miss. You become invisible. My personality won't let me be a passive auditor of this site as long as I can easily blurt out my opinions, so just like a recovering addict, I just have to redirect myself.

Anyway, I am still around and anxious to get my canoes and kayaks back on the river this spring. None of you reserved space with me last year! Bummer. I am going to try to float the Cimmarron River and Hominy Creek this year as well as the Arkansas from the dam. If I could find 30K in investment money I could offer airboat rides on those two rivers if anyone is feeling...you know...flush.....adventurous.... or is a personal friend of Kaiser. ;D

You were the only poster I ever agreed with. Don't go.
Power is nothing till you use it.

When you feel the time is right, come back and visit.  Please.

May you live in interesting times.

Sorry to hear that. I also enjoyed your insight. It seems our flock is dwindling. I for one enjoy checking in throughout the day.
Best of luck sir. Please return again.
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Seriously, I'll miss the debate. Good adversary.

H2O, I understand you leaving, I too have had to walk away from boards that I post on for one reason or another. I have enjoyed reading your thoughts and opinions, and like every other persons, I may agree, I may disagree, you post yours, and I have posted mine. You have given me some insight to things specific to River Parks, that really weren't there when I left, so I appreciate the info.

I know that you will be back here someday, so until we cross paths again, take care, and keep the dry side up.

I stepped away for awhile too in 06-07..sometimes that is what you need to do.  I will miss waterboy, he is our resident Arkansas River expert.

One of the most articulate on here, and with a flourish.  Godspeed.

Been away from the posting myself lately, but not from the reading. Have to say I will miss WB, may or may not agree with you ( mostly not ) but I enjoyed reading your fine posts. Take care and hurry back.

I learn from you.  It is sad to see you go.

Even though WB and I couldn't be ideologically further apart, I truly do count him as a friend.  I will see him when I go into his store or occasionally run into him and Mrs. WB when I'm out.  He's a very, very good guy. Even for a lib  ;)

When you can get them to quit drooling.
