Emailing representatives?

So I'm a little disappointed. I wrote my state rep and senator 8 days ago on several bills that are making their way through the legislature and I have yet to even get a response. I gave my opinion on about a dozen bills so I'm not expecting a response on his thoughts on all of them, but I was expecting some polite response thanking me for the email. Should I send the letter via snail mail instead?

What experiences have others had with their state reps?

Last time I sent a rep an email I got a response via snailmail a few weeks later.

Call, fax and e-mail. If no response, then keep up the pressure. When I wanted to contact Coburn or Inhofe, I called them and got an instant response from their staff.

I sent emails to Coburn and Inhofe regarding earmarks awhile back.  It was about 2-3 weeks in getting a reply.

I sent an email to Tom Coburn last year about earmarks and got a response in about an hour.  Perhaps he gets busy frying bacon.

Yesterday he was rallying to recover old earmarks that are sitting around collecting dust. On of my favorites he mentioned are millions of federal dollars sitting in Atlanta waiting to be spent on the 1996 Olympics.

In total it's estimated that the porkulus and other programs have produced half a billion in orphaned earmarks that remain unspent, yet allocated.

Small beans compared to the billions the administration is flushing daily, but this is Coburn's bag, and his flashlight makes the roaches scatter.

You never miss an opportunity to bash Obama...

I believe this thread is about contacting our representatives...
Power is nothing till you use it.

I've just gotten to where I PLONK him.  He's beginning to resemble a more right-wing version of AOX/FOTD anyway.

Just shut it RM. Jeez. Rep. Giffords gets shot in the head and nearly dies and on the first page of the thread on the subject a massive jerk in this forum brings up Sarah Palin.

Your show is getting boring.

You enjoy bringing up that a democrat got shot in the head?

You're being a huge jackass. I have been nothing but impressed and awestruck over her toughness and you want to demean me over that? You are freakin boring.

No defense for your comments so you verbally attack?  Typical.

First, I didn't call you out. This is between me and RM, who apparently forgets that in this forum nearly everything bad is on Palin. Second, I do not need to defend anything but the facts. It appears that no matter what the subject, lefties can't resist but attack Palin. But oh, link Obama in any way to a subject, then let the whining commence!!!

Incidentally, on the subject of crying, who was the poster that vowed to stay out of this specific forum because it got a little rough?

Your Palin shtick is repetitive.  You see or bring up attacks when there are none.

There was no vow.  I took off for a while because of lunatic statements made by some posters that just got too negative.  It was all there was.  I came back when there were interesting subjects again.

Here you are on a completely unrelated subject talking about someone getting shot in the head and then hoping people will feel sorry for a personality making money off of the confused minions.

No. This thread is about e-mailing reps and when one poster dared to stray off on the slightest of tangents, RM complains. I was pointing out the unbelievable gall of some folks in this forum and you decide to jump in. And yes, your Obama spooning shtick is still boring.

At least try to be more original.

BTW, Obama spooning?  When and where?  I post articles and back up my posts.  I don't see imaginary attacks on someone like some crazy person.

Keep on keepin' on.
