More evidence of what Newt could do to change this country. We need more love to go around...

"There's no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate," Gingrich said.

"What I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn't trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them," he said. "I found that I felt compelled to seek God's forgiveness. Not God's understanding, but God's forgiveness."

What a bunch of circular speaking claptrap.  Has he been hanging out with The Sheen?

Newt's working Hagee's flock.

QuoteGingrich clearly sees an opening—which is why he's been publicly contrite about his failed marriages and personal failings. His infidelity has been a major sticking point with many religious voters, but Gingrich has talked up God's word about forgiveness and appears to be making his faith a central plank of his 2012 bid. The fact that Hagee would allow Gingrich to address the church from his pulpit speaks volumes about where the former House Speaker may stand with influential evangelicals

So his staff has bailed.

QuoteGingrich Aides Resign En Masse
Senior aides to Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich have resigned en masse—including spokesman Rick Tyler and campaign manager Rob Johnson, as well as other top aides in early primary states according to Associated Press sources. Gingrich is currently on a two-week Mediterranean cruise, which he took against the advice of his staff. The Washington Post says friction over the vacation is one reason for the resignation. Many of the staffers have ties to Texas Governor Rick Perry, which will increase speculation that he will jump into the presidential race. Reached by phone, Gingrich told Daily Caller reporter Jonathan Strong, "I have nothing to say."

I guess it's a bad idea to cheat on the wife, prosecute someone else for the same thing at the same time, then think you can run for POTUS after changing to Catholicism and think the loony deep dark evangelicals will back you.

He was never a serious contender.

I'm looking for a candidate that restores hope and promises change!

I wonder if this scenario would work with my wife:

"Honey, it's true. I had an affair because I love my country just as much as I love you."

Oh, it's OK," she'd reply. "I know how much you love our land, and I know how much you love our Constitution, especially the Second Amendment."

Bang!

May you live in interesting times.

Hopefully today's news will sound the death knell to this joke.
Someone get Hoss a pacifier.

Looks like his people are joining Tim Pawlenty's campaign.

Gov. Sunny Perdu just announce he's joining Pawlenty.

Months ago, Rachel Maddow said that Gingrich is only in the race for the money.  She predicted he'd drop out and go back to his usual scams fund raising for conservative causes.

Don't forget his big ego needed some food too.

Perhaps he's working on another children's book or HS textbook?
