That's correct  but Lisa calls me "Gonkey" for what ever reason. Anyhow, The race results also have a "age-grade performance" listing and I made that list, I guess it means my time would equal a 22:00  finish time if I was younger than my old age,  as we age our bodies slow down & fall apart so our race times degrade. All in all  I did pretty darn good in that Panera 5K.. I was told Tulsa is having a "Tulsa-Tough" event soon. I think that is a triathlon event so that's NOT  for me- I'm no good at swimming or cycling events, I can't do either event worth a hoot. I should of entered 5K races 20 years ago when I was younger and then compair those race times to the times of the 5K races I run today and note the decline. Getting old is no fun.. :-X

Tulsa Tough is cycling only, not a triathlon or duathlon (triathlon for drowners).

OK thanks I was not sure what kind of event it was.  I heard  it's a big popular event and many people turn out for it and party. I don't know much about cycling and cycling events.

Hop in your old heap and come down Friday night to the Blue Dome district.  I'll even buy you a beer.

That "Tulsa Tuff" thing seems like quite a event and it goes on for 3 days. I'm not into cycling nor do I ride a bike but that event really attracts alot of people they showed some of it on the news.

I wonder how that "Tulsa Tuff" turned out this morning- with all that rain at race time and rain and cycling don't mix well the pavement gets slick- Cyclists came to Tulsa from all over the globe even as far away as New Zealand. :D

Uh, there was more than just one race and they started on Friday...

You might know that if you lived here.

There were a few crashes due to the rain, but as of noon or so, I hadn't heard of any serious injuries.  I know the father of one of the juniors who crashed.  He had a patch of road rash on his arm but was otherwise OK. One of the older riders said he'd fishtailed in the last corner several times, but didn't go down. It's a high speed right hander coming off the hill into the finishing straight.

This is tricky even when it's dry.  Give the kid credit for taking it at speed.
Ed

May you live in interesting times.

Looks like some of those cyclists had close shaves. I did not get to go there but heard the crowds were big.

Pretty hard to do when you don't live here.

I guess that new section of trail is now open, everyone is using it. I plan to do some running this afternoon. I have been parking  at the 71st lot and running south down past the casino and back, today I'll try a north run. The RiverParks have been very busy lately with all this nice weather we're having, the 41st street lot is always full.  They should add more parking..  :-\
