Why was it necessary that your source point out that Bridenstine is a "freshman" Congressman? It adds nothing to the story but to somehow make it sound like he has less significance than other Congressmen or he is naively ignorant (which I know folks in here will cheer). And why isn't Gov Fallin referred to as a "freshman" governor. She's still in her first term.

Any congressman with "freshman" in front of his name means he has far more credibility in my book.

Tulsa Congressman Jim Bridenstine will tour the detention facility at Fort Sill, housing minors who have entered this country illegally, after all. In a news release, the Congressman says the tour is set for this Saturday. He calls it a "showcase tour."

JIM BRIDENSTINE: "Ordinary Americans have a right to know what is happening in these facilities, how the children are being treated, and what is being done to stop this human tragedy"

The Congressman says he will continue to make unannounced visits to the facility. He was turned away last week by security guard. He blames the problem on the President's immigration policies and failure to follow the law.

JIM BRIDENSTINE: "Human suffering is escalating because of the failure to enforce the law.  The solution is to enforce the laws and stop illegal immigration."

While Bridenstine is an Oklahoma Congressman, Fort Sill is not in his congressional district.

While Bridenstine is an Oklahoma Congressman, Fort Sill is not in his congressional district.

I think 'showcase tour' could probably be changed to 'looky looky at me' in this case.

Inhofe has never forgotten and continues to crow about it - big oil!!  And he says they should give him more, so he can represent them better!
