ICP?

My son and several of his friends are ICP fanatics, serious fanatics, even down to the hair style and make up. He tends to complain that the police pick on them.

Now I'll admit to emulating, in my late teens, some of the people musically I looked up to (mainly hair bands, so it was nothing really any more than me growing out my hair to shoulder length or a little longer, and double-piercing my left ear lobe).  On occasion we dressed up for our Saturday night TRHPS and had toast and rice and the whole deal.  I never dressed the parts, just brought the props.

I just look at kids today (my 18 year old nephew being one of the first) and wonder what the deal is with the pants down to your knees.  My 17 year old niece actually makes her father proud, she can't stand the music of the day (aside from Foo Fighters; I'm taking her, her dad and mom as birthday gifts to them all).  She raided my old LP stash and picked out some classics.  Beatles White, old Whitesnake, and stuff from the late 80s/early nineties.

oops..ADD moment there...LOL.

But yeah, I'll admit to when I looked like that the police picked on me.  I wonder what they would have done back in 1987 with what kids are dressing like today.  The emo stuff really creeps me out.

You had a great waterfall mullet...DUDE!  To my daughter's horror, I used to have a pretty good mullet as well.  There's a picture somewhere of me with it in a French braid in a tux.  They don't know about that one ;)

What is ICP?  I figured that cat was on PCP.

I had to look it up.  Insane Clown Posse.  What a name.  Kinda like Pitbulls on Crack from the old Windjammer days.  You must have seen my older wedding photos on FB.  I was rocking the Joe Dirt back then.  LOL.

ICP is old school. It surprises me that kids still emulate them.

I can only think of one musical group in the world that I truly despise and that's ICP. The "Whoop Whoop" and the facepaint are both ICP things. I'm sure they were drinking orange Faygo while they were mowing down pedestrians too.

Show me an ICP fan and you're likely showing me someone driving an '83 cavalier with mismatched tires who's still living off welfare & their parents at 29 because they are "too hardcore" to hold down a job at McDonald's while at the same time being angry at everyone else for "making their life suck."

I think that he was provoked...I am sure we will hear more about it...this guy is well known around Bville for being cool and laid back while still a little odd......
