For what little it's worth, meds can make all the difference to a person who is truly mentally ill.

In rare cases, the lack of mental health care might even excuse some seemingly heinous crimes.Emphasis on the rare.

The community might be better off as a whole if we had a more realistic attitude towards the mentally ill, than what I read in the comments section of various news websites.
