Breitbart got pisssed at Weiner's accusations that he committed a federal crime by "hacking" Weiner's Twitter account.

So. . .

Breitbart contacted several of the women that Weiner has TwitSex with and now claims he has X-rated images of Weiner and will release them if Weiner makes any more stupid accusations.

This is exactly why politicians should resign when something like this happens.  Weiner has put himself in a position to be blackmailed by multiple women, right-wingnuts, corporations, or members of the Trade Federation.  This is obviously not new behavior for him either, which means that there may be more insidious skeletons lurking.

He may already be under the control of some individual or group who holds images or video of him compromising himself.  Weiner may actually be a deeply spiritual conservative who compromised his virtue years ago, and those images have fallen in the hands of the Sith. . .now he is forced to carry on as a Liberal tool and do their bidding.

A good moral character is the first essential. It is highly important not only to be learned but to be virtuous. -George Washington

Explain to me why the toe-tapper hasn't resigned then...are you all for him resigning?

EDIT: Just realized he is no longer in office, but he didn't resign, did he?  He announced the intent to resign, but didn't.  What are your feelings regarding that?

W. Bush bad touched the German Chancellor and he stayed in office.

QuoteTMZ reports Rep. Anthony Weiner offered porn star Ginger Lee PR help—a possible ethics violation—and instructed her to lie

He's in a dark place sucking his thumb at this very moment.

Someone on Bob & Tom this morning was saying Weiner looks like a shaved orangutan scrotum.

OUCH!

Feelings are irrelevant. . .

Any elected official who puts him/herself in a position to be blackmailed should resign.  We can't afford to have our government controlled through coercion.

Why is that so hard to understand?

Meh. If everyone in a position to be blackmailed had to resign, we'd have two empty chambers and a commercial real estate crash in DC.

Someone's grody twitpics are the tip of the blackmailable iceberg.  Sift through anyone's campaign donation list and I guarantee you'll find some job-ending leverage. R and D alike.

In the universe of despicable deeds, this ranks pretty low, especially when compared with such recent high(low)lights as the John Ensign, John Edwards, dude with the wide stance, or Mark Foley. This has some novel elements -- twitter, an outspoken younger Dem, some truly awful media appearances, Breitbart once again showboating for all he's worth -- but take all of that away and it's pretty workaday stuff as far as scandals go.

So it's okay with you that the lowest common denominator is leading the country?

What ever happened to "lead by example"?  This sets a pathetic example to follow.  Personally, I believe all leaders need to act and be held to a higher standard.  There's no reason Republicans should be held to an even higher standard because they supposedly take the moral high ground, that's precisely what liberals are saying when they scream: "hypocrisy!" if this happens to a Republican.

That Shmoe?  Where's the fun in that?  He's heading out the door.

I'm for removing anyone who can't effectively do his/her job.  He lost that ability when he lost the backing of everyone he associates with.

Your fantasies of everyone being for anyone you can easily attack are infantile.

Go for something notable.
