You are funny.  You wouldn't have a political thought in your head if it didn't originate from Madcow or Thinkprogress.

Someone care to explain how Dr. Santee's screed is relevant to Operation Fast & Furious.

TTAC, if you want some discussion on her piece, please create a new topic or add it to the Domestic Terrorist thread, I think it would be more appropriate there.

Yes. I might have posted that in every thread just to insure it got read by everyone on TNF.....

btw, I think her point does apply to this thread....still.....the nutjobs and Teahadists...and DITTOheads still prevail. This must stop.

and Coco Loco, please. My material comes from several places. Obviously, I read the righties bs too.....

It's estimated that as many as 30 deems will join in.  Holder has changed his testimony too many times, and has made his intention to obfuscate obvious.

Time for a "Tell us why Romney's AG will be great AG" thread...As for lying, we should have expected it given that's what his boss did exactly four weeks, no two weeks, ago.

As for the contempt, this is more election year politics than anything IMO. Of course, I could be wrong.

Is the election this year?

Only for Republicans, Democrats vote on Jan 2, 2013.  Haven't you gotten the robo-call yet?

This must be the second thread on this topic.

Holder and Obama should both be held responsible.

As should Bush and Ashcroft, Gonzales, and Mukasey (his attorney generals) since they are the ones that started it.

I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.

The only thing that "Wide Receiver" and "Fast and Furious" did in Arizona was cut down on the break ins of gun stores there. Prior to Wide Receiver, several legitimate gun stores were broken into multiple times, (there was one near where I lived that was broken into three times in the span of less than a year) and each store that was broken into, very specific weapons were taken. The vast majority of the stolen items were semi-auto rifles and ammo to go with them, then came the straw buyers purchasing large numbers of semi-auto rifles that started Wide Receiver. That vast majority of the weapons stolen from the breakins were never recovered, and it spun out of control in 2005/06 and got worse after that with the gun walking schemes. I have posted the link before, and am posting it again as to the failure of Wide Receiver to stop the flow of weapons to Mexico via straw buyers.

I'm not anti gun or heavy regulations, and I'm not an NRA pro, just that there should be some regulation. I don't want to deny anyone of their right to own, carry, carry conceal, and I don't know the best way to regulate, and I hate regulate in this matter, just would like to see something that is agreable. (I know, pie in the sky)

So I had actually not heard that the ATF was cleared of wrong doings. Apparently they didn't intentionally allow the cartels to get American guns. No wonder the entire federal government seems to share in their ineptitude, this way they can never be on the hook for anything.

Wait, Eric Holder is cleared by one of his employees while a deputy assistant AG gets to fall on the sword?  Isn't the DOJ inspector general a DOJ employee?

No.  It's a complex structure.  You don't understand.  Holder doesn't even know this guy.  He works at night when Holder is not there.  They are in separate buildings.  He doesn't have email.  His phone is disconnected.  He's really busy.  There were like three other guys that this guy answers to instead of Holder.  This guy has a drinking problem.

It's the Ollie North syndrome, the conversation never happened, but if it goes wrong you're taking the fall not me.
