Embarrassing story time: I actually mistook my last birthday for being my 27th. It wasn't until February of this year that I realized that I was only 26.

And I have messed up my own age at some point as well. Fact is, this is a "gotcha" forum, even more so when people announce they are running against Obama by RM et. al. Just see the Bachmann "silly", Romney and his hundred dollar bills, and Huntsman not making up his mind threads from the past two weeks as evidence. I have given Obama props on certain things he has done. In here, it's hate the GOP from some people 24/7, and these are the same people who b!tch when I get after Obama.

And as a note, I see our jobs president still has don't squat about unemployment.

I guess I'm rotten too.  I have a tendency to start rounding up age about a month prior to the next birthday.

Partisan claptrap at it's worst.

I'll look for this post on the next Bachmann or Huntsman attack thread.

Not speaking to you, speaking to whomever thought it newsworthy to call out the President on this in the first place.  Don't you think it's just a bit sophomoric?

Oh absolutely. But that's not the point. Palin says something about Paul Revere and the left gets so excited that they need to don a rubber. Obama screws up the age of his kids, or runs his mouth about a deceased Medal of Honor winner, both in the past week or so, and there's freakin crickets or statements of understanding.

guido will never see the difference between the two.

One is a politician making up history by trying to spin it into a story about gun control. The other is a politician rounded up his daughter's age by a week.

Please re-read the recently re-posted forum guidelines and abide by them, please.  The personal comments are wearing thin on everyone and baiting other members does not help.  Thank you.

Wait, Obama said his daughter was Charles Manson?

Not even acknowledging in the first place it would be the best approach, IMO.  Give 'em crickets as well  ;)

I'm more interested in real problems facing real Americans, not gaffes, not if a candidate pays with $100 bills or his AMEX card, nor what a candidate thought about social issues 30 years ago when they were in college.

Insignificant items are really clouding people's view and judgement of candidates.

Wish I could post the segment from "Wedding Crashers" but I think that would be frowned upon on here these days.

While I comment on the threads about people, I am not the one posting them.  There are only about 4 people that do that.  Sadly, most of it either 1) turns into people or 2) starts out about people.

I know that. You, Ed, Swake, (and occasionally RM  :P) and a few others are honest people that have ideological differences with me but in my opinion are completely reasonable and fun to debate with. There are others, though, that are just so eaten up, and to be fair who believe the same about me and a few others who share my ideological views, that every attack on their politician is personal.
