1:30 this afternoon.  I was number #11.

The bluehairs verifying ID's were looking at yearbooks to pass the time.

Why'd they not wait to combine this with something else?

I made it in at about 6:30 pm and I was number 4.  Almost didn't get to vote though because my Drivers License expired last week

What exactly was the election?  This was poorly promoted.

Aside from knowing this was a renewal of the ONG franchise, that article was a total waste of MB's time, IMO.  Go toss a ball with your kids Michael.  Sometimes it's more important to have some family time than to prove you are the resident Tulsa know-it-all.

QuoteIn the early part of 2010, a SNAFU involving ONG's transition to a new online bill pay system nearly got our gas cut off. Although I had had automatic bill pay in place via choicepay.com for several years, suddenly nothing was getting paid. ONG would run a computer tape once a month of what everyone owed, and send it to choicepay. Apparently the tape was being run after my previous bill was paid but before ONG charged the next month's bill to my account. At that moment in time, I had a zero balance, so the automated payment plan took $0 out of my account, which meant my bill wasn't getting paid.

I assumed choicepay's system was broken, and when I went to ONG's website, I found that ONG had a new auto bill pay system, hosted on their own website, so I signed up for it, again assuming choicepay had been discontinued. The next month, I was double-billed -- choicepay's system started working again, and ONG's auto pay kicked in. Highest gas bill of the year, and they hit my checking account twice. It took another two months to straighten everything out between choicepay and ONG.

I'd like to tell you that ONG was helpful and efficient in solving the problem, but in fact they were clueless and slow. I went through six months of lengthy phone calls to both companies and several erroneous cutoff notices, all because I assumed automatic bill pay would automatically pay my bill.

I like this part, does he not pay attention to what is going on with his bill pay site? That's why I have either used my banks bill pay or paid directly to the service. Tried a third party system for about three months and realised it doesen't work right.

I know everyone complains and moans about 'Skank' of America, but their billpay system is, simply put, awesome.  I've not once had an issue in the two years I've been back, plus the four years prior that I used them.  I know BOK had billpay, but it seemed incredibly kludgy.  Having e-bill initiated payments and having the bank inform you when the payment is processing via email is something I hated giving up when I switched to BOk.  I didn't necessarily like switching back, but BoA's billpay and account management website (and the Android/iPhone app) are simply awesome.  Sorry to use that adjective twice in a post.

Just try to close an account.  All of a sudden no one can help you and there are several forms that need to be signed and mailed and you have to go to another branch where they have an account closing specialist who will want to discuss your reasons for closing your account and then offer to give you all kinds of free perks and happy endings to keep your account open.  Took me a week to close a business account.

I didn't have that problem the first time.  And business accounts are always harder to close.  Personal accounts, not so much.

happy endings

:o

I use IBC.  I do all my bill pay through them manually and do my car payment and cash dumps on credit cards direct with the lender.  I don't like putting anything on auto-pilot, but I do enjoy not writing many checks anymore.

Expired DL should mean your driving privilege expired, not that you suddenly dont become the person on your DL.
Your driving status shouldnt affect the accuracy of a DL as ID.

You would think.  They really got confused when I handed them my CCW, which is a state issued ID as well.

Just went back and checked, and the law requires that the expiration date be after the date of the vote.
