Recreational Marijuana is now legal in Vegas.

Now the whole town smells like weed.

On the positive note, the crowds laughed way louder at the comedy shows I went to.

I bet the buffets are doing bustling business these days.

One would like to think so but fighting all the lobbying money from opiate manufacturers, professional prison management companies, and the general ignorance of people who have had "pot is bad" drilled into their heads for years is a difficult battle.

Its not that difficult to put your thumb on the scale by strategic donations to state agencies with the stipulation the money goes to pay the overtime costs of targeted enforcement.
Its going to be interesting to see if the GOP candidates for governor go full opposition or have an epiphany (or a loved one with cancer) and take a moderate approach.

Edmondson said placing the measure on the primary ballot as opposed to the general election in November, where turnout historically has been higher, Fallin is hoping to minimize the number of voters who decide the fate of the state question.

"This is an important issue and certainly one where all Oklahomans should vote — despite Governor Fallin's efforts to stifle their voices"

Sometimes the drill is fairly recent.

The guy with the Jimmy Durante nose is really calling MJ a gateway drug and saying certain substances react with different races chemistry.  I wonder if anyone had the balls to ask him if he was born with that nose or drank his way into it.

Vermont Legislature becomes first in U.S. to legalize marijuana for recreational use
Republican Gov. Phil Scott indicated last month he would sign the legislation.

8 things we now know that happen (and that don't happen) when we legalize marijuana

1. Marijuana arrests plummeted.
2. But the racial disparities in marijuana arrests have not ended.
3. A tide of teenage weed heads is not unleashed upon the nation.
4. The highways remain safe.
5. States with legal marijuana have lower rates of opioid-related harm.
6. Marijuana tax revenues are big — and bigger than predicted.
7. Marijuana tax dollars are going for good things.
8. Legal marijuana is a job creation engine.

Universal symbol - upside down, green triangle - will grace medical marijuana products

THC warnings already grace recreational and medical products in other states, or so I'm told.

If the visual reminds you of a certain Tulsa invention, the message might be "woah, kids!"   ;)

A universal labeling symbol takes the wind out of the propaganda that claims edibles target children rather than patients who cant tolerate smoke.

I vote they do away with edibles and go straight for the real winner...

".... such as oils, suppositories and patches ....."

Just kidding...   Someone said they had THC infused beef jerkey when they were in Vegas...   I guess the question is what can't you put weed into?

I was wondering why you don't hear of MJ tea.  I read an article which stated something to the effect that THC needed to bond to a fat for efficacy so that is why the tinctures are generally oils.

What Were the Consequences of Legalizing Weed in Colorado?
A newspaper editorial gets some facts right, and some wrong, in weighing up the consequences of Colorado's legalization of recreational marijuana.
