Actually, yes it has...if you want to ATTACH.  Attaching and embedding are two different things.

Not sure about embedding, but attaching let me chose from my files what picture i wanted to post and that is no longer a option.

That's exactly correct.  With embedding, it needs to be uploaded to another source and a link provided.

Oh my bad, missed that little word. I've never attached pics. I always just embed.

It's an option in the forum software.  The admins may have disabled it for whatever reason.
