The Marshall Oktoberfest is my favorite Marshall brew.

That's the one I haven't had yet believe it or not.  I'm having a hard time deciding sofar.  Of the core beers, my fave is Sundown.  Sofar of the seasonals (and yes that does exclude El Cucuy) my favorite has been Arrowhead, but Big Jamoke is right there.  El Cucuy is a class all its own.

Do you just show up ? and what will the cost be ?

Mmmm Marshall's Beer !
Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

It's on as a public event so it's open.  I'd imagine the beer is the same cost as most of their draws.

Unless he's changed the recipe, I believe this would be the same brew he did as a Marzen a few years back.  IIRC, He brewed an Oktoberfest and ran into snags getting it kegged/bottled for Oktoberfest (or hit the political wall with the Oktoberfest organizers) kept it around to the following March and voila! a Marzen.

Everybody must be slugging down with their very own stein right now. I can see it now chowing down duck fries and sausage with suds to follow. A group hug?

Bet you all are inside. Something about beer and 120 degree cement. You seem to have some semblance of sanity and common sense.

Drive carefully... :-*

I asked. Different malt so it's a bit stronger, other than that, same recipe. Place was packed.

Yeah, I was going to go but got out of work late, then a friend of mine messaged me as I was getting ready to drive out and said Fassler was packed and people were out the door.  That's too much for me guys.  I'll wait until the next TNF lunch, which should be coming up soon if I'm not mistaken.

Or C and Townie and whomever and I can try again at a date/time not so popular (I'm glad Eric's beer premieres, even though this wasn't truly a premiere, is having such a great turnout).

I'm so glad that Eric is doing well.  Maybe this means that if someone wanted to starte another brewery, selling the idea to investors wouldn't be hard.  Certianly the demand is there.  I AM that demand!  ;D

Most definitely was NEVER out the door other than people going out to talk on their cell phones.  I hate crowds and never felt claustrophobic. Great brew, really fresh.  Had a great time talking to everyone, still have no clue who Nik or Jacobi are and I'm sure they have no clue who the rest of us were.  As far as TNF: wound up being me, Townsend, Mrs. Townsend, Carlton Place, and Eric Marshall.  Oh and Eliott too.

Duck fries rock.  Remind me to only do that once a year.  Holy crap, can't even begin to imagine the caloric and fat intake on that!

Duck frites are the best evidence for god existance that man has access to.  Well next to pork belly...
