Nope..smell it too at my work (45th and S 129th East Ave).  Nothing on the news outlets as of yet.

The smoke was thick when I left for school this morning over at 71st and Sheridan.  As I traveled down 71st it faded, and was surprised when I got out of the car downtown and still could smell it.

It was a controlled burn from camp Gruber. Go figure, your own government.

Why the GOP is going after the EPA
Republican lawmakers aim to cut back or even abolish the Environmental Protection Agency, even though it pays for itself

"Ground-level ozone is the primary constituent of smog, which leads to lung and heart disease. In June, EPA administrator Lisa Jackson testified before a Senate environment and public works committee (EPW) hearing on the clean air act and public health. "

"According to the American Lung Association, the weaker standard means that as many as 186 million Americans are currently breathing in unhealthy levels of smog. "

Love it, wish they would do it more..smells better than most things downtown...

Tulsa Whirled is reporting the fire at Gruber started from a machine gun tracer round.  Okay, let me get this straight, we all know you shouldn't throw a cigarette butt out of a car window when it's this dry.  The Army doesn't realize tracer rounds can start brush fires?  Really?

With the amount of smoke here, I really think there was more than just the Gruber fire going on, especially since my daughter said firetrucks were going by when she was waiting for the bus in the direction of the thicker smoke.

Interesting, now I'm hearing it was caused by a 'controlled burn'.  Really?  Or is that just spin to not make you look negligent?

AquaMan

A controlled burn initiated by tracers. They know what they're doing.

The smoke was clearly visible in Maple Ridge yesterday morning and faintly detectable this morning. Is it possible it drifted that far?

Unless they are using an electric smoker
