I can't say, as I try not to follow the sideshow. F&F is just one small part of a sideshow that could be over tomorrow or could have been over yesterday or any time in since Raygun doubled down in what by all rights should be described as the Waterloo of every President since at least Nixon.

Terrific. AG Holder reduced to crying racism.

Attorney General Eric Holder accused his growing chorus of critics of racist motivations in a Sunday interview published in the New York Times. When reached by The Daily Caller Monday morning, the Department of Justice provided no evidence to support the attorney general's claims.

Holder said some unspecified faction — what he refers to as the "more extreme segment" — is driven to criticize both him and President Barack Obama due to the color of their skin. Holder did not appear to elaborate on who he considered to make up the "more extreme segment."

Sad to say, racism is alive and well in America. It has become popular on this website to denigrate anyone who dares suggest it. Nonetheless, those who have seen it first hand are not surprised that it occurs in government. To be fair, I have been subject to racist behavior by non whites who found my possible employment, success or mere presence objectionable.

We all deal with it but to deny it is folly.

Oh come on. Give me the proof that racism is even an issue with Holder. A program under his watch resulted in a dead border agent and guns flowing into the hands of gangsters.

While racism is very much still alive in today's society, which I too have been a recipient of, it has been a growing problem for people to use that as an escape route when they screw up, or just have a guilty conscience.  The "it's because I'm [insert race here]" line has been used way too many times, and keeps loosing validity.  And what is worse is that it takes credit away from legitimate claims due to too many cries of wolf.

What we still don't know -- what Attorney General Eric Holder with great determination will not say -- is who in Washington signed off on this awful idea of letting straw purchasers cart off armloads of high-powered weapons, headed to Mexico. The stated plan was to track them to the cartels, which worked out about as well as one might expect. Hundreds of guns disappeared and now are turning up at crime scenes on both sides of the border.

Holder last week had another bob-and-weave session with a congressional committee, managing to reveal as little as possible. However, he did let us know that while Justice did dump hundreds of emails in response to a subpoena, none were addressed to him or had been sent by him. And that he has a personal email account, along with his government account. And that lying isn't the same as not telling the truth, depending on one's "state of mind.

While what you say is true, it doesn't mean there aren't bonafide, hard to prove, impossible to overcome racial injustices throughout our society. I believe there always will be. There are some like above, who don't believe it is ever true unless "proven". When you are immersed in situations where it is obvious that decisions are racially motivated its hard to pay much attention to the deny-ers.

Did I read this was a Bush initiative? Surely he was castigated as well.

Not saying he or the program were not error filled, (haven't followed it much) but he wasn't using racism as a defense for those failures but as motivation for critics. That may be true or not. You show no evidence it was not.

You seriously wanting me to prove a negative? It's Holder's allegation that he is a victim of racism. Why should I prove it isn't? Should we just presume it because his noise hole spouted off?
