I was a little surprised I couldn't find anything on here about the event.

Anyway, I read that shuttles would be running every 15 minutes this year.

For anyone that still goes, was that how it was last year?  Has it helped parking much?

TPS is providing the shuttles this year, just like at the fair. We took one from the Service Center at 31st to the fair and wondered why we hadn't done it before. Easy, dependable and safe. Did they provide it last year?

I haven't been since 2005 when I provided cheap shuttles by water back and forth from the east bank. We had to practically tie up the drunks to keep them from staggering off the boat or discharging untreated sewage in public. :D

Nope. There's real beer.

QuoteBut Paulaner had to brew a batch with a different formula to fit Oklahoma laws, bringing the alcohol content down to 3.2 percent. Beer connoisseurs continued to ask when the "real beer" would be sold.

A change in admission policy — charging festivalgoers a fee at the gate — made it possible in 2004.

The admission made the festival grounds a "closed park" where the higher-alcohol beer could be consumed. The festival also set up three programs to help curb any problems associated with drinking.

Here's the beer list and prices.

That works perfect for me.  Within staggering distance of my house and if that proves too far, there's always cannon_fodder's house.

This will be my 6th year to volunteer at Oktoberfest and even before that they had school buses that would take you there from the fair grounds and education service center.  The ride going there was quiet and boring but the ride back was loud and crazy.  Good times.

You likely know an ex co-worker of mine then who has worked out there for a while.
