Was that an Earthquake?  It was a big one if it was.

Yeah, everyone in town felt it.  I thought we were being attacked or something.  I saw where someone in OKC felt it as well

Where did you hear that?  Been looking on the news sites and haven't found anything yet.  The thing woke me up and had me running around the house thinking a car had crashed into it or something lol.

DEFINITELY!

I just checked in to see if it was me....confirmation!

It lasted 45 seconds....

Lasted long enough for me to hop out of bed and check around and when I noticed the knobs on the front door still rattling I knew it was a quake....wooooo hoooo

bugo

Yes it was.  And it did indeed last around 45 seconds.  I felt aftershocks 5-10 minutes after the main quake, some of them pretty strong.

I confirmed it by seeing everyone on facebook and twitter saying "was that an earthquake?"  the OKC reporting was also a comment on FB.  Still nothing from the news outlets

We heard all kinds of noise like someone was walking around upstairs, and out in the hall, except the upstairs from us was the attic.  It took me a good couple of minutes to realize that I felt the bed shake as well and put it together in my head.

Ok, this is getting interesting.  I don't remember any other time in my life when I have felt, or heard of, as many earthquakes in Oklahoma like has been happening in the last year or so.  I think we are starting to get beyond "well this can be seen a typical, statistical fluctuation in numbers" to, this is a unique series of events, to possibly even this all could be the lead up to a big one.  They can come in clusters like that where its "snap, crackle, pop, then BOOM".

I still feel it shaking at 2:30 AM.  The main quake happened at 2:13.

Chile had a big one just 15 minutes prior to ours....

But I'll stick to the theory of fracking us up....

Yea it has to be a local thing, fracking or faults, nothing as far away as Chile can affect us.
