Says 9 earthquakes in the last 24 hours, this one being the second largest on record.  I tell ya its a cluster thats either building to a big one, or letting off steam.  Ya never know which unfortunately.

It's an iffy feeling, that's for sure.

So, just a random thought... who's in charge of inspecting our crappy bridges and overpasses?  Can't decide whether it's safer to drive on 'em or under 'em now.  Given that they weren't exactly in pristine shape to begin with...

For a brief second last night, I was truly worried about serious damage to the house, like walls coming in or the roof coming down.  It's a trip to see walls vibrating.  Looking around this morning, no damage that I can positively attribute to the quake.  Just a suggestion: you might want to review your homeowner's policies and check what they say about earth movement.  Earthquake insurance is pretty cheap: $80 to $150.

It will probably go up now.

Are Earthquakes A Sign Of The End Of Times?

QuoteTulsa -   The record 5.6 magnitude earthquake on Saturday and the following aftershocks may have some wondering if it could be the end of times?

  We found out... opinions vary.

Dr. Mouszon Biggs, Senior Minister at Boston Ave. Methodist Church, says no.  That only God knows.

"Whenever there are threatening times, people imagine, 'maybe this is the end', But these are far from being the worst times humans have ever known.  They are far better than many times humans have known."

Televangelist Pat Robertson spoke about the earthquakes on "The 700 Club."

He told viewers, "Jesus Christ said there would be earthquakes in diverse places...  that's just one more reason that we need to get ourselves right with the Lord."

She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed raced in and said, "Did you feel that?  The earth moved...again!"

It used to be that I made the earth move for her.  Sigh.

May you live in interesting times.

You beat me by 53 seconds.  :(

Every now and then. I actually have had people here asking me if my family or friends were near the quakes, and I told them about one that lives in Tulsa that had his sliding glass doors shatter with the one Saturday night.
