+1 Heir... if the voting was done on Saturdays or if election days were holidayed, we might see different results. Those Pubs know how to get "their types" into the booth while hurting the oppositions chances through gerrymandering and putting up other difficult "road blocks."

Well, IMHO the best show ever in the Brady Old Lady was Mad Dogs and Englishman. But this was a close second.

Catching up from various posts around Facebook, this is one show I wish I'd been in town for.

I'm catching comments like "Best in a long time in Tulsa", "Best show ever at the Brady", etc.

I thought Stevie Nicks was pretty good when she was there in early '80s.  Except when she couldn't remember the words to White Wing Dove.  and fell off the stage into the laps of the people down front.  They were good enough to lift her back up, though.  And the audience acted as prompter for the song - singing along - so it was all ok.

Thanks for rubbing that one in.  A friend had tickets, I was taking a summer school course and had an exam the next day.  I said: "I appreciate the offer, I'll see them when they come back next year."

They've not played Tulsa since.  Nor many other Brady-size venues since then.

John Hall.  Good friend of mine and damn good writer.  He enjoyed the concert as well.  Kevin Pyle as usual does well with the photography.

This might stir up some debate, but I was thinking since some people have brought to light the history of Tate Brady and the negative connotations it has... why not rename the district the Woody Guthrie Arts District? Just a thought.

Two things landarchpoke:
The whole rename the Brady movement seems to think that names are arbitrarily given and that renaming it would just be as simple as putting up a new sign or something like that.  If nothing else t would take a long time to do.  Not to mention I had always thought that the district gets it's name not directly from him but by way of the theater and the street. Secondly,  why woody?  Bob wills arts distric is better as bob spent a solid amount of time there.
