So the old house at 1813 S Boston Ave is finally leveled...

Almost all of the parcels on the SE corner of 18th and boston (pink, the caterer, the lots behind and the old house) were purchased by SOBO Development LLC in July,2011.
They now look like they may actually be starting to do something.

Interestingly enough, the old Pourhouse at 118 e 18th st does not appear to have been included in the sale. County Assessor still shows Security Bank holds the note. That could be a glitch because 911,000 for the corner without including Pourhouse seems kind of high.

I've heard a lot of rumors.
Anyone have any idea whats going on?

The owner of the Pourhouse building was selling the building separate from the land. The sign is down so maybe the building will be soon as well.

Do you mean the parking to the east or west of the building?  They don't own the parking to the west.

The building that used to be The Brick. Its for sale sign hung on the outside wall said, "building only". Not sure how that would work but the building is structurally a mess.

That house was an eyesore, glad to see it come down if it wasn't going to be renovated.  Sobo has a lot of potential and is an interesting mix of old buildings with a mix of bars, restaurants, dry cleaners, a convenience store and coffee shop.  I see that whole area as pretty desirable for urban residential development being adjacent to Maple Ridge and close to the river and downtown.

I used to live at 19th and cincinnati.  The apt. wasn't great, but it was the best location in which I have ever lived.  If I had a job downtown it's where I would live again.
