Channel 6 news reports that the city employees (whose salaries and perks presently exceeds those of the private sector) are to be given by the mayor a new present in this budget crunch war economy.   The mayor has decided that the taxpaying citizens of Tulsa should, in addition to all other perks, give the city employees the money for a down payment on a house of their choosing.

This seems to be the first in new home incentive buying tried in any municipality in the state.  Tulsa is to be a leader in securing new homes for its employees at the cost of many of its citizens paying sales taxes on the bare necessities to sustain life.    I doubt that the mayor has ever gone to bed hungry in a cold house when paying over $26 dollars a month water bill before he could get a glass of water to take his pills with.

Is this a real-estate payoff connected to the recall?  Do you think this will put a crutch under a sagging real-estate market at the taxpayer expense?  Do you think this will be a morale booster to the taxpayer?

What are we to expect next?  Is the mayor and the president related?

Tomorrow we will enter into the plea to have it torn away.
