Just for fun was on another forum in which there was a thread checking out the number of restaurants in a cities downtown area.   They were using Yelp.  The rule was, draw a 2.5mile square box over your downtown area and search for restaurants.  Best I could manage for Tulsa was around 142 restaurants.  Just for curiosity sake tried around 71st and Memorial found that there were actually less in most cases.  However, how we ranked compared to other cites was kind of sad if this is a loose proxy for urban density/vitality in the core.  Though some posters commented that this search might have a slight bias towards more tech savy users and areas, but even if that were the case, would still not show anything to brag about.

Tulsa=142    (skewed our box to capture areas S and East of our downtown to get the highest numbers)
