In a rare moment of bipartisanship, the House overwhelmingly passed a bill Thursday aimed at making it easier for small companies to grow and go public.
The House voted 390-23 to pass the bill easing certain rules that the Securities and Exchange Commission enforces on small companies going through the process of becoming a publicly traded company. The Senate is working on a similar version of the bill, and President Obama has indicated he supports it.

Now we see if it can get a signature.  Probably not until after the election.

Here's the bill: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr3606eh/pdf/BILLS-112hr3606eh.pdf

I'm guessing they came up with the JOBS acronym in order to say "they're stalling the JOBS act" or "he/she voted against the JOBS act".  "Wouldn't support the JOBS act".

Another "get us re-elected" effort.

You either are a Boehner believer or a Pelosi pragmatic.

I doubt Pelosi and pragmatism have ever had a conversation.  ;D

Yet she voted for it.  Hmmm?

Dude, lots of people voted for it yet made the same remarks. They know their asses are on the line and they need to show they can work together, but the result is they are passing the easy stuff and passing on the hard stuff. It was in the article.

I doubt Boehner has ever believed in what he does unless its to keep his job.

Agreed, but I don't know if I limit that to any one politician.

Yes, what this country needs is less stringent enforcement of securities law.  ::)
