Gun shops around town?

Wife and I are getting our CCL, and curious as to who in town has the best prices on handguns? in particular I am looking for a Glock 22/23 and possibly a sig 9mm or 40 caliber.  I plan on purchasing two pistols at the same time if the prices are right, do any give discounts if you buy more than one at a time? Can you haggle with pricing? I checked Dongs today on the Glock 23, Gen 4...asking 529 which from what I can find on the internet is the cheapeast so far.  Medlocks in Collinsville is 579.  As I was leaving in Dongs, older gentleman who worked there said I shouldnt waste my time driving around town comparing prices, they have the best prices on Glocks in the city.  This being my first handgun purchase, I just wanted to get some opinions/reviews from my fellow forum members vs driving to every store.  I have emailed several, got no response.  I have called Tulsa firearms, but they seemed to busy to care, very short over the phone with me.

Thanks

a buddy of mine has had good experiences with Sooner Guns‎ at 5663 S Mingo Rd # D  There is also a guy around the corner from him called A.D. custom guns that has a good review on the google, so can give you a quick and easy comparison shop.

If you can hit RJ when he is open he is very knowledgeable and prices pretty fair.

His shop is just off the BA at 145th.   But like I said, you might want to call before making the drive as he sometimes runs strange hours.

Heh, apparently he needs some work on his website.

Skip Sports World on 41st.  Absolute pricks.

Best place to bargain is a gun show.

Went there and got two things last year.  Some Cor-Bon PP rounds for the Bersa, and acetone free cleaner (have a composite grip on the gun, so I wanted to be safe).

But, outside of the gun shows, can you recommend anyone else?  I'm still looking for a Glock 17, or possibly a 19 but I want to be able to pick the gun up and choose based on how it feels.

thanks everyone for the advice.  I rented a glock 19 at USSA this past weekend.  Felt comfortable to me.  From what I have been told by some friends is that most gun places around town have the most popular models to rent and test fire.  I believe 2A will even deduct your rental amount from the gun purchase if you purchase that day.

If you dont mind used, gunsamerica.com has plenty of listings for just about any make and model and armslist.com is sort of the craigslist for guns.  Also cheaperthandirt.com and impactguns I saw had some fairly decent prices.  I have only actually been inside Dongs lately, but comparing their prices to the internet, they are by far the cheapest on glocks.  They have a Glock 22 Gen 4 for 529.99.  Cheapeast online price I found was 539.99 plus shipping plus doing background check plus the FFL transfer fee.

I don't think you can go wrong with Dong's, usually pretty good prices, I just don't know if they will make "package" deals or not.

Changing opinions one mistake at a time.

Kinda like the old Starship radio ads when they would plug Tiddies flipflops (and then make sure they spelled the name while still in the ad).

We used to make comments about "Dong re-loading"  :o

I blurted that out in the office and got a good laugh.  My retired TPD co-worker knew exactly what I was talking about.  LOL.

I have refused to give Dong's my business ever since they ran some ads using political scare tactics based on unfounded claims to get business (come get your guns now before such n such bill takes them away).

Wannenmacher's and the other gun show promoters did the same thing.  NRA used it to drive memberships.  Same old story.

still won't support anyone that uses that tactic.  When I was hearing it from Dong's, it was on an issue that had been showed as to clearly not be what they were making it out to be, and as far as I was concerned they were lying to people in order to move their inventory.

My point was, you will end up looking long and hard trying to find a dealer or store who hasn't used that tactic.  I find it deplorable as well, but if I refused to do business with everyone who did that, I couldn't buy any guns or ammo.
