They don't like women....

And why aren't Tony Laughinger and his ilk out there protesting the death penalty?

Moral crusaders are ruining this country!

And how can a "staunch" fiscal conservative believe in it considering 15 years of Death Row incarceration and appeals costs about the same as 50 years in the general population?

Factual accuracy though- I believe if you ask Lauinger, he's against the death penalty, most of the rabid anti-abortion Catlicks are.

Just because they are wearing ties does not mean they are ruling this country.

Last time I checked. . .

They had the video on CNN news online.  The comments afterwards were often even worse.  It's troubling to say the least. :(

Head of a church.  That means they lead places like NC, OK, MS, AL, etc.

Very disturbing.

One does not need to rule to ruin.  Hey look at Carthage!

That said, who said men dig ditches?  Gender norms are not exactly fixed.  This guy clearly needs some valium and maybe a copy of The Second Sex or The Feminine Mystique.

I wonder if he knows that child abuse is the primary cause of criminality later in life? Would that these religious clucks come out against abusing children, but that would be too rational.

U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Oklahoma Personhood Proposal

http://www.newson6.com/story/19944103/us-supreme-court

QuoteWASHINGTON, D.C - The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld an Oklahoma Supreme Court ruling that a proposed "personhood" constitutional amendment would be an unconstitutional ban on abortion.
The court on Monday rejected the appeal without comment.

Mathew Staver of the Florida-based Liberty Counsel -- which filed the appeal on behalf of Personhood Oklahoma -- says supporters may try again to get it on the ballot.

The proposal would grant fertilized human embryos the rights and privileges of citizens in Oklahoma. Supporters say it's part of an effort to have the U.S. Supreme Court review a ruling that legalized abortion.

It was challenged by the American Civil Liberties Union and the New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of several Oklahoma doctors and residents.

The state Supreme Court called the measure "clearly unconstitutional."

OK, so it's "clearly unconstitutional".  Maybe we've finally heard the last of this from these folks.  I'm almost sure of it...
