...terrible news.  He was a great football player.  Condolences to family and friends.

Multi millionaires killing themselves do not deserve a thread. One too many knocks on the noggin. Happens to former hockey players, too.

It was a hit by Mossad, orchestrated by Obama.  :D

I agree Hoss. To me it makes no sense. He struggled in Miami with injuries but stiil a physical speciman of a player, even at his older age. As hard as he tried to stay in the NFL even after 20 seasons. I think retirement and his personal problems with his ex and not really seeing his kids on the regular. Probably played into his not being to happy. Very sad indeed. It's easy to stand back and think that money and fame makes living all that much easier. But you have to wonder what kind of pain drives a young man of 43 to take his own life.

You are a demon....last week you were insensitive to Tulsa's loss off Mousia Larkin and today you find this foreign news "very sad."

The tragedy in this is that he left 3 children behind.

Suicide is selfish.

No I posted I had never heard of her. Junior played for the Dolphins and was one of the better players in the NFL. Absolutly suicide is the worst way to solve any problem. And his three children will suffer the rest of their lives without their Father.
But Demon by comparison is quite a stretch. Even for you. Oh wait....Did I misspell anything ?

Your two posts in this thread perfectly illustrate your dumb@ssesedness in this forum. You suck.

Let's just hope his life insurance was "seasoned" and his heirs will get paid.  That is, if he had any.

Now that you bring up the life insurance. How does suicide get covered?
And how would you even go about asking a agent that question when getting a policy?

I believe there is a waiting period for suicide coverage to avoid people anticipating suicide to enrich their heirs. An insurance agent should make you aware of its policy coverage including suicide. If he has any reservations the company could compel you to have a physical but I've never heard that happening. Otherwise healthy, successful, responsible people can find themselves in depressed states and act impulsively. Some people do it slowly over time, others just crash. To call it selfish is too simple. It is an illness just like diabetes.  One that can be avoided and treated but it is of no value to criticize someone who succumbs to it.

Too soon.

Usual suicide waiting period is 2 years.  I believe there is a state or two with a one year period.
