Bill Lafortune, Fred Perry, Blake Ewing, Karen Gilbert, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul. I have wrote positive things about each of them on this forum.

I bashed Maria Barnes and Roscoe Turner.

Your turn.

Really guido?

All you have posted lately is my comments about Obama four and a half years ago. What does this prove?

I have a history of writing about politicians and I don't trust most of them. It doesn't matter what part they belong to. I am an equal opportunity critic.

You on the other hand only attack democrats. You won't even defend republicans, instead just take every comment about a republican with the lame answer of "look what somebody else did."

You remind me of my two children. They won't accept responsibility, instead just tattletale on the other hoping they can change the subject.

You (not somebody else) went all in with Hillary last election and lost. You (not somebody else) made it your mission in here to destroy Obama, name-calling and accusing him of despicable crap--just as you (not somebody else) are doing with Romney right now. You can't see that? And portraying yourself in the third person and an outsider after my calling you out is weak tea, just as trying to dampen the impact of your flip flop by saying it occurred four whatever years ago. It was the last freakin presidential election. You didn't have the chance to flip on Obama or attack Romney a la Obama 2008 until now. As for my "only" attacking democrats, well let's walk down that lane...

QuoteFor you dems out there, Jim Priest is a highly accomplished lawyer, as well as a down to earth and darned nice guy. He is worth the look. And no, I am not off my meds.

And who gave this response to my acknowledgement of this repub....er... democrat for state AG?

QuoteThanks for the advice. I am trying to educate myself on every race and had heard others say that Jim Priest was way the better candidate.

While I enjoy arguing substance with you, I cannot stop seeing you trying to have it both ways. If you call someone out you oppose for doing something outrageous, like "Mission Accomplished", you should be held to account when you back track after repeatedly calling someone out for outrageous/unethical conduct (Obama the liar and race baiter) who you now support out of political expediency.

FYI, it is possible to prefer A over B and still prefer B over C.

Did you see the way I just ripped Booker? Criminal. As for repubs, I have long been a believer of the 11th Commandment, yet I still have gone after Specter and Murkowski, and joked about Cheney.

I still write negative things about Obama. I wrote this just a few days ago.

You caught me. I spoke out against Obama.

I still have reservations about him. I wish he would have accelerated the troop withdrawals. I wish he would have not added to the bank bailout. I don't feel as if he has taken the lead on the economy and has instead allowed Congress to go first. He renewed the Bush tax cuts in exchange for a small tax holiday. I don't think he is a good negotiator.

I do believe he was a better choice than McCain and a better choice than Romney. What's your point?

Yes. I am critical of Romney and Obama on the same forum. How is that possible?
Power is nothing till you use it.

Beyond inserting himself into the biographies of other presidents, he is now trying to rename the current generation of voting youth as "Gen 44" as in the 44th president.  I suppose this is to be expected from a guy that named his dog after himself. http://www.barackobama.com/gen44

You can't make this smile up!

I'm just waiting for Obamerica.

Wow!  Now he has added some more since yesterday to the official White House biographies of more past presidents:

President Dwight Eisenhower:
established the President's Council on Youth Fitness on July 16, 1956 (now known as The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports). The Obama blurb says the Council "is still going strong...working in conjunction with the First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move initiative to help promote healthier lifestyles."

President John F. Kennedy:
- The Peace Corps, created in 1961 during the presidency of John F. Kennedy, reached its 50-year milestone on President Obama's watch: "In 2011, President Obama celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps with a Presidential Proclamation."

President Richard Nixon:
- In 1973, Richard Nixon created The President's Export Council, which was expanded and reconstituted under President Jimmy Carter in 1979. "Today the PEC continues to work towards reaching President Obama's goal of doubling the nation's exports by 2014's end."

President Jimmy Carter:
- President Jimmy Carter created the Department of Energy in 1977. "Today the DOE works with the Obama Administration to drive towards innovation in energy and reducing reliance on foreign oil with an 'all of the above' approach."

President George H.W. Bush:
- President Barack Obama awarded George H.W. Bush the 2010 Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, for his commitment to service and ability to inspire volunteerism throughout the country, encouraging citizens to be "a thousand points of light." The Obama administration "continues to promote service and civic engagement, honoring heroes of local communities as 'Champions of Change' and fostering civic participation."

President Bill Clinton:
- President Bill Clinton created the Clinton Foundation in 2001 to improve global health, education, economies and environments. "Affectionately calling him 'Do-Gooder-in-Chief,' President Obama has worked with Clinton to make buildings in our country more efficient—announcing a $4 billion investment in energy efficiency upgrades for commercial buildings."

President George W. Bush:
- In 2002, President George W. Bush's State of the Union was the first to be live broadcast on the Internet. In 2011 and 2012, President Obama's State of the Union speeches were available in a live-stream version that featured infographics, charts and data side-by-side in real time with the president's speech.

You are simply beyond belief. A marketing guy who believes in marketing for anyone but Democrats and black presidents. Strange brew indeed.

To take a historical account like an official White House biography and insert yourself, is just a bit much.  I mean really?

Of course I'm fairly convinced you would defend him no matter what.  If he were to replace each of these biographies with a treatise on his own greatness you would simply refer to it as marketing, and praise him for doing so.  The cliff looms and you happily march towards it.

It's just that he seems to continue to take actions that do nothing but invite ridicule.

Why the hell would the President of the United States, the most powerful man in the world, feel it necessary to be so egocentric?

How many people do you think look at the info from that page?

I'm going to guess that the majority of the people who see it are people looking for any reason to rant against the president.

. . .or students doing research for school.  The White House website is a rather strong bibliographic reference.

This is the same path that was taken in other countries after changes in government.  History books were altered to paint the new boss as superior to the old bosses. Vorwärts!
