This was a habit that Clinton usually learned to control as president. But the circumstances now are much different.

Eh, he seems to still think quite clearly, but he's been having more trouble with translating those thoughts into words in the last couple of months. It's a little weird. Seriously, watch some of his latest interviews from the last couple of weeks. I don't recall him ever misspeaking that often. As a whole, they give the lie to any claim that there's some sort of major new ideological split between him and Obama, though.
