After seeing the hypocrisy of a two faced Congressman running for re-election  featured last night on MSNBC, nothing surprises me about the GOP. This guy went off on illegal aliens, birthrights, English only legislation etc, on his English website then never even mentioned those issues on his Hispanic website where he complimented them and welcomed their support. He completely ignored that most other country's citizens are at least bi-lingual and would pick up on the contrast. The GOP is setting new standards for hypocrisy, deceit and demagoguery.

It's been all over FB today, so I figured it was the latest Maher or Madcow spew.

One-sided?  I don't practice a religion, I've got a personal sense of spirituality I don't attempt to influence on others so I have no horse in the race.

You are the committed atheist or anti-religionist, I'd say that makes you every bit as much one-sided as you think the Bible thumpers are.

That said, what does your rant on religion have to do with Obama attending a church for 20 years where a message of hate, intolerance, and racism was acceptable?  Sorry I'm not following you here.

As you might remember long ago (or recently if your name is guido), I had problems with Barack Obama and his association with Rev. Wright. It wasn't because of the church or because Wright was a reverend, it was because I believed Rev. Wright was a crazy racist guy.

I am sure he was a wonderful preacher when he was preaching. He had a large congregation who went there because of their faith. But he also had a history of saying very imflammatory comments that had nothing to do with religion. These were often racial.

I wouldn't have a friend who said such things where I could hear them. One of my son's friends told a racist joke last summer and I made him sit on the porch till his mom could come get him. There is no tolerance for racism.

Obama doesn't go there anymore. I hope he never goes back. He know makes his primary place of worship Evergreen Chapel the non-denominational church at Camp David, the same place President Bush used.
