Two today. Here's the one that's kind of a stunner:

While I've gone to great lengths to keep this website a forum for ideas, and not a personal forum, I should say something about the various stories regarding my political future in Virginia, the state that has been my primary home since late December 2010. The short of it is this: I don't know and am nowhere near deciding.  If I were to run, it would be as a Republican. And I am in the process of changing my voter registration from Alabama to Virginia, a development which likely does represent a closing of one chapter and perhaps the opening of another.

The one guy ain't running for anything, but now that he has got out of Alabama, he says if he were to ever run again, it would be as a republican. The second person never ran for any office. Why should we care about what she says either?

The first guy is obviously torn - worried about the lack of vibrancy the Democrats bring to the table, while flying like a moth to the policies that have taken the cash that Billy Bob had access to from higher tax rates.  Conflicted.

And she is saying she is leaving because of Obama stand on gay marriage...and then does that mean she is gonna endorse a Mormon???  Wow!  That has to be messing with her mind in a big way.  Gotta be huge internal dilemmas there. 

One thing that is crystal clear is just how warped and twisted and distorted our political scene has become.

And I never said anything about "mass" defections, just 2 in one day. I know, not quite as compelling as your four Rs spread out over four years, with one being Trump. And seriously, Bloomberg? That guy left the democrat party in 2001 to run as a republican. Not one of your better retorts.

Everybody changes for some reason.  Conan changed on principal - I think he could have probably been more effective staying and trying to "push" the way he wants.  That's why I stay with the Democrats - they have just gotten soooo stupid in so many ways - but I can't have any affect from "outside".   But I can certainly understand - my efforts have had no effect - the Dummycrats are still possessed with the idea that I and others like me are unable to decide which sports are best for me to enjoy (shooting sports).

Lieberman changed as an expedient move to stay elected, after he got pushed out in primary.  See what I mean about stupid Democrats....the rest of the state knew better.

Opposing gay marriage makes one a bigot? Let's look at the biggest bigot of them all I guess:

Not quite to the level of changing your political party because you hate/fear the gheys. When your number one most important political ideal is being anti-gay, well you just might be a bigot.

In the article it said that she went to talk to her priest, that's another no no

So gay marriage is akin to murder to this woman. She presumably will ignore some out of fashion biblical orders like having your daughter be raped but gay marriage is over the line, along with "murder and stealing". Got it.

First, I also including stealing and other "no nos" precisely because I KNEW you would take that tack--and because murder and theft are part of the ten commandments as opposed to those "sins" you discussed. If it makes you feel better just substitute no coveting or adultery instead of murder. And you were the one who went way overboard by linking opposition to "gay marriage" to her wearing jewelry and talking to a priest.
