They need lots of cash for a nice coronation ceremony.

This time, I wonder if they are actually going to move the Pantheon to Chicago for the event.  It's gonna be a hell of a toga party!

They went through the numbers this morning and President Obama has raised almost twice as much as Romney for his campaign, and the DNC has raised an equal amount to the RNC.  The difference is that both the Obama campaign and the DNC are spending at breakneck speed.  The size of the Obama campaign organization is enormous with multiple layers of administration and overlapping marketing efforts.

It seems he's running his campaign the same way he runs the government.  Perhaps he can spend his way out of debt?

The contrast is that Romney is running his campaign like a business, and even though he doesn't have the privilege of free transpiration, security and hundreds of fundraisers on the tax payer dime, he is amassing significant cash reserves.

The really funny part, is that when you look at the cash disbursements for the Obama campaign you find that he is outsourcing campaign call centers to Pacific East, a company with an office in Washington, but all of their call centers are in Canada, Manilla, and the Philippines.  I was under the impression that he was criticizing Romney for outsourcing jobs?

What is with the ban on direct contributions from corporations by the DNC?

Do they really think members of the Democrat party are so dim they don't understand large corporations have many other ways to funnel their influence into Democrat campaigns?  I'd take offense at them thinking I was that stupid.

Talk about window dressing...

Counting on the perceptions of a less educated or intelligent voter?  You know that guy that gets interviewed after the tornado goes through his town?  That guy.

I think it's brilliant.  It offers a built in excuse for failure if it occurs.  They can whine that "they're being outspent" because of their lofty moral convictions, even though that's not the case.  That way the president doesn't' have to figure out a way to use the old standby "blame Bush" excuse.

what ban? I must be missing something.

Big companies make big mistakes...and so it will be this year placing the wrong bets at stockholder expense.

I really get a kick out of watching you people root for oligarchs and the plutocracy.
