Wow.  This guy borders on dooshery here.  I wonder what Gweed has to say for him?

From other reports, Walsh also has issues with keeping his child support payments up-to-date.

Ed W

He has a rival in Michigan:

Like many conservatives, Matt Davis, the former spokesman for the Michigan Republican Party, was upset that the Supreme Court upheld most of President Obama's health care law on Thursday.

But unlike those who simply saw it as a rallying cry to elect more conservatives in November, Davis wants to know whether an "armed rebellion" will be necessary to overturn the law.

There's a word for advocating violence to bring about political change.  Apparently, when the political and judicial systems did not produce his desired result, it's necessary to engage in destruction in order to save the country, or something like that.

Of course, under the Bush administration, any leftie making similar threats would have quietly disappeared.

Ed

May you live in interesting times.

What does Gweed have to say? People are pissed because Walsh accuses his congressional opponent from talking about her military service too much. In fact, this is what qualifies as "dooshery" to Hoss:

QuoteThe Republican incumbent accused Tammy Duckworth, an Iraq War veteran who lost both her legs in a helicopter crash, of talking too much about her military service. Duckworth, a former helicopter pilot should follow in Vietnam veteran Sen. John McCain's footsteps, he said.

"Understand something about John McCain," Walsh said at the town hall, first reported by the liberal site Think Progress. "His political advisers, day after day, had to take him and almost throw him against a wall and hit him against the head and say, 'Senator, you have to let people know you served!"

"Now I'm running against a woman who, my God, that's all she talks about," he said. "Our true heroes, the men and women who served us, it's the last thing they talk about. That's why we're so indebted and in awe of what they've done."

Okay. This is what Gweed has to say. Who does Joe Walsh sound like in this forum?

QuoteA female supervisor of mine many years ago was a Major in the Marine Corps.  She was in the reserve, but not active duty.  I never asked the details of her leaving the Corps, but I'm guessing that she wasn't a 'lifer'.  Explained to me that, at least back in the late 90s, once you were no longer active duty, then you served as a reservist for 16 years, which means essentially the same as a reservist for the police force.  She didn't have to do what the Guard does, and go to training once a year.  I believe she was out from active duty after 6 years, by my math, but, as I said, I never asked her about it.  She never wore her service to her country on her sleeve, unlike some (ok, one) in here that do and feels it empowers them.

[Emphasis added].

Joe Walsh was sort of repeating himself again in this thread:

Quote
And he wonders why people on here dislike him so.  I have news for him.  I wanted to serve.  I was hounded by the Navy to do so because of my ASVAB scores (92nd percentile).  I couldn't.  Why?  Does having a mother with a brain injury and being the 17 year old in the house getting to care for her qualify?  Does that mean I've done nothing to protect or serve my country?  Isn't the creed 'God, Family, Country'?  Would I be derided for choosing family over country, especially when that meant I got to forgo college for myself or even a military career (I wanted to be a Navy Pilot, but I don't think I would have qualified anyway)?

I think people who have served in the military humbly are great people.  Those people though who make it a point to say they've served while asking others what they've done to promote freedom in this country need to step back and get over themselves.  I can't stand that.  It makes those people you're asking feel like second-class citizens.
[Emphasis added].

Here's a thread where another agreed with Walsh...

Gawd, Hoss, are you going to let him get away with such weak quotes? A snipey little snot nosed lawyer who served in an office somewhere and never lets anyone who didn't forget it, versus a woman who lost both legs in battle and still wants to serve her country in politics  and isn't afraid to make note of why she's not walking? He doesn't even see the irony of blaming her for somethinng his party encouraged McCain to do.

I certainly see a lot of difference. And I see a hypocritical opponent who knows he is losing to her and is shameless enough to blame her for not being enough of a hero. When does this bs end?

It's called 'giving someone the rope'.  I knew he wouldn't be able to resist.  Especially given that at every chance he gets he likes to call people 'draft dodgers' or inflates his ego about his service to his country.

I'm grateful that he did serve (and all others who have before and after), but I'd prefer not to hear about it at every chance he gets.

Oh, like you PLANNED this whole thing. You posted all your crap years ago, knowing that in 2012 a dem candidate/veteran with two missing limbs would run solely on her record, in a district where the candidate today would do precisely the same crap you did years ago, and that I would fall for it by reposting all your hypocrisy. Bwahahaha.

As for the water vag, he's still smarting because he personally hurt charities because of his big mouth.

Edited. SO whenever Duckworth speaks of her military service repeatedly, which is what you are decrying, she is inflating her own ego. That will be remembered.

I find it funny you spend all your time hyperventilating about a post someone makes here or there. You've done it to RM, to Aqua, to many others.  I wonder how long it took you to track all those posts down.

You're the one wasting YOUR time.  I find it absolutely hilarious that you think anyone gives a tinkers' damn about your opinion of other people.

I could almost hear your head exploding....not quite, but almost.

:o

I expect now he will start ignoring me.  Like that's never happened before.

As for me, I will be ignoring you.  As I have tried to do for about four years now.

Man, is that the BEST you got? I find it funny that you specifically called me out in this thread for no reason other than to try to get me to hammer Walsh--who's position on Duckworth is the SAME as yours--and I laid waste to your stupid point. You had to be handed a damned life preserver from freakin waterboy, you know, one of those losers who pussified himself by changing his handle, so you could be rescued from yourself. Need proof? Look at the timing between your posts and his, and your failed bait post to mine.

Time to put the training wheels back. Big people are posting in here.

Edited. Not sure Hoss edited his last post or not...

I thought Joe Walsh was better with the Eagles than as a solo act.

Sounds like we're on the same wave length Hoss. No post he's ever made is worth looking up.

We're all kind of tired of slowing down for you Ali G. Defending Joe Walsh by attacking a local who made unrelated posts about you years ago? Classic. You're topical and well within your comfort zone in the confines of under 40 redneck Oklahoma, but you're just not too deep.

BTW, an aqua vag would be a good thing.

As I said, it doesn't bother me.  It seems to bother him more, and that's where I get the chuckle from.  I love watching the meltdowns into ad hominems.

And really, all I asked it what he thought of it.  Blew his stack and made it personal.  Doesn't bother me.  I'll continue on with my vacation.

Me too. I also appreciate the work his brother does on America's Most Wanted. His dad was a great coach for the 49ers.

No disrespect intended toward vets, I truly do appreciate everyone's service to the country.

However, I've noticed more and more political candidates touting their military service almost as if it's a prerequisite to be a good legislator.  Other than the idea they probably have a better sense of self-discipline and possibly organization, I'm not quite sure how the military and being a politician are related.

And guys, let's tone down the personal attacks.  Please.

Shove it C71! Maybe someday you will be promoted to Conan level 70 and maybe then we will listen to your pansy calls for civility...this is the internet after all and you can't properly use it without lashing out anonymously against other people you don't know.
