QuoteVice President Joe Biden warned on the same day that Mr. Obama would lose if "the other side spends us into oblivion."

I bet it's never dawned on crazy Uncle Joe that pathetic job performance is what will make him a one term veep, not Romney outspending the Obama team.

Romney has raised far less money than Obama has.  President Obama's candidacy works just like his presidency. He is spending faster than he is earning with fewer results.  The campaign machine that President Obama has assembled is massive in comparison to Romney's and costs far more to run.  Plus President Obama is not on the hook for the massive transportation costs that Romney has to manage.

If President Obama has a "sad birthday," it will be for the same reason he's had a sad presidency.  Lack of basic economic understanding.

Presidential candidates have already raised and spent millions of dollars in the 2012 campaign, as we know from the reports they're required to file each month with the Federal Election Commission. Here OpenSecrets.org highlights how the White House hopefuls are stacking up in the money chase, highlighting a comparison of the front-runners.

According to Townsend's link Obama is out-raising Romney 2:1.

I guess I should expect the Obama camp's memes by now.

The trick to winning is to make sure enough of your followers swallow what your side is cooking.

Think about what people were willing to believe two years ago.  Them; "They lied to me!"  Them's friends; "No smile?"

Romney-supporting SuperPACs, on the other hand, have raised far more money than Obama and SuperPACs that support him combined. I guess it helps when you have folks willing to write hundred million dollar checks.

Obama simply has large donors writing checks directly to his campaign, it would appear:

Obama

Small Indiv Contrib.      $121,550,222
Large Indiv. Contrib.    $181,407,165
Individual contributions  $299,645,308

   PAC contributions   $0
   Candidate self-financing   $0
   Federal Funds   $0
   Other   $489,056

Romney:

Small Indiv. Contrib.       $25,524,381
Large Indiv. Contrib.       $128,280,356
Individual contributions   $152,546,034

   PAC contributions   $811,681
   Candidate self-financing   $52,500
   Federal Funds   $0
   Other   $127,544

You do know that this makes no difference, right?  They have to have "the underdog."  It's part of who they are.

If President Obama raised a zillion dollars and spent two zillion he would still be the victim, because liberals admire victims over victors.  They simply employ a different lexicon.

A refresher in the terminology:
Success = Evil
Responsibility = Greed
Victim = Hero
Failure = Someone else's fault
Spending = Giving
Faith = Hatred
Constitution = Old piece of paper written by dead guys without smart-phones.
Free Speech = Hate Speech
Disagreement = Racism
Private Sector = Evil 1%
Entrepreneur = Moocher of government services
Job Creator = Someone who is not smart enough to live off the government
Welfare = Job
Food Stamps = Progress
Unemployment = New Voter, also = Job growth
No longer seeking work = Transition from unemployment to permanent voter, also = Job growth

The health department requires it.

Reported amounts raised by conservative-leaning SuperPACs (only counting the ones that have raised more than a million dollars, it's too tedious to add up the remainder) as of the last reporting cycle were just under $207 million. The liberal leaning ones are around $110 million. And Romney isn't even the nominee yet, so for arcane campaign-finance rule reasons he's in a bit of fundraising limbo at the moment. (As I understand it, anyway)
