The Obama Cabinet Bashing Thread

Because I was informed that all threads get hijacked and turn into Obama bashing threads, I thought I would be fair and start one with the expressed intent to bash Obama and his cabiness selection in particular.

I'd like to start with Kathleen Sebelius. Apparently she violated the Hatch Act. Conveniently this trip was "retroactively" reclassified to a political event and the DNC promtly reimbursed her.

She has also had some isses back in Kansas with some paper shredding regarding a case involving Planned Parenthood among other things. http://cjonline.com/stories/030109/sta_399795386.shtml

How well would Romney pic his cabinet if he can't pic the correct wife?

I am not going to defend Eric Holder, Nacy Sebelius, or any other Obama administration official. I think most of the people attracted to those kind of jobs are often morally deficient.

Obama will have to go a long way to catch up with Reagan's administration. 138 of them got indicted, the largest amount of any U.S. President.

You young people can google "El Mozote Massacre" and learn how we helped the El Salvadore government murder an entire village. His administration gave millions of low income housing money to campaign contributors. Reagan officials used the EPA to punish political opponents and fire employees based on their political beliefs. Google "Keating Five" and you will learn of the biggest financial scandal in U.S. history. Reagan's campaign even "acquired" the debate prep book used by then-President Jimmy Carter before the election.

So basically everyone concedes that there are crooks in the White House, shouldn't we give a new crook a chance. How's that for a campaign slogan?

I wonder why anyone cares what Democrats think in Oklahoma anyway?  It's not like Oklahoma will swing Obama.  This state will remain red until the day I expire.

Even Democrats elected in this state are more Conservative than a lot of middle-of-the-road Republicans.

Is President Obama's job performance so hard to defend that you feel the constant need to lower the bar for his behavior by pointing to mistakes of past administrations or did this come from this morning's DNC talking points memo?

Good point.  Our votes are pretty worthless.

If we could become a swing state we'd score billions in campaign funding.

First step - Improved education

That won't happen as long as Repubs hold the state house.  They'll continue to find ways to de-fund public education.

There are times I'm embarrassed to say I live in Oklahoma.  I stay because I have hope for it.

That is the best reason to vote for the democrats this November. This particular election doesn't mean much so go ahead and help Oklahoma by voting for Obama.

If we were in play Oklahoma would get millions in ad buys and hundreds of campaign jobs.

Vote for Obama. Do it for Oklahoma.

Well since you put it that way...

I am not avoiding Obama's job performance nor do I read DNC talking points memos.

This thread is not about Obama. Erfalf started it to talk about cabinet members. It is a good topic for discussion and yes, I find it hard to defend many of the people Obama selected.

Goldman was laying off and President Obama was hiring.  Things just kinda fell into place.  They put him there, the least he could do is return the favor.

Because my user name is goofy, you can call me Eric by the way.

And yes, I started this thread to discuss the Obama cabinet and I'll be goshed darn if the thread didn't turn out to be the most compelling reason for me to vote for Obama.

Dang It.
